Previous panels have decided against rescinding said rights from the likes of Jeffery Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, and Ted Bundy; however, your society is quite capable of making up for such oversights. Indeed sir, it is the individuals such as you-- the ones who fall between the cracks, the ones who pick weak and helpless victims, the ones who thrive on petty cruelties—that are the focus of our investigations. While some of your fellow earthlings seem willing to dismiss such acts like the one currently at issue as insignificant, we are not nearly so obliging. Crushing to death any creature in such a manner is cruel at best, but to do so to ones still blind from their time in the womb is the sign of a blackened soul. What’s more, doing so before the man who had sheltered and cared for said creatures, and who had drawn perhaps some small measure of hope and joy from doing so, reflects very poorly on your chances at reprieve. This will be your only notice. No appeals will be heard.
Right on, I went and read that link you gave…I was in total shock. I have always said I don’t trust a person who doesn’t like cats… Let alone kill them. I vote guilty!!!:mad: :mad: :mad:
Oh my God. I say give maximum sentence to him from the left side of my brain, but the right wants to do unspeakable tortures to him. They were kittens, for Christ’s sake. Who with any shred of humanity would crush five kittens?
Don’t be so selfish! Smear him with fish oil. Stake him out for the kittens to play with at the local animal shelter.
Or, to make cleanup a breeze, stake him out atop a landfill. and let foraging animals take care of him. Possums, coons, dogs, cats, squirrels, worms and flies – all part of Nature’s wonder!
andros—you can’t possibly be suggesting that what this man did is in any way similar to what cattle rachers and chicken farmers do, can you? Let me explain–food animals are killed for consumption purposes, their deaths are for a reason–however debatable that reason may be. These kittens were killed to fufill some twisted power-trip this man had over those people we were paying him to watch. I don’t expect prison guards to become poker buddies with their charges, but nor do I expect them to perpetrate acts of wanton psychological cruelty upon them just for kicks. The best this guy could come up with is that they “looked sick”.
Well, from what I hear of him, he’s pretty sick too. Warm up the trash compactor.
I am no vegetarian, however, I try to eat free range meats as much as possible. They taste better, are healthier, and also it’s a helluvalot more humane.
Karma will hopefully catch up with this guy, and I just hope I don’t have to watch.
That sort of cruelty is just sickening. That inmate may not have been a prime example of human existence, but he certainly did not deserve anything like that. That asshole should really pay for this. I love my cats and if I found out someone did that to one of them, I would be afraid of what I would do. Fuck you asshole wherever you are right now. I hope that you and the inmate have many friendly encounters in prison. As I said before: Karma will catch up to you, and I just hope I don’t have to see it.
In addition to the obvious repulsive and barbaric cruelty to animals involved, you’ve got to wonder about the effects on that particular inmate. I suppose he was probably violating prison rules by doing so, but I would say that an inmate trying to care for a mother cat and her kittens is a good sign. Cruelty to animals is a major warning flag for serious psychological and social problems (and I think there’s something pretty screwed up in that guard’s head–maybe just 20 years of being a guard in Sing Sing, but nonetheless, to do a thing like that is scary); I’d say there’s got to be some truth to the converse as well–if a person has taken responsibility for caring for some helpless living creatures, that would seem to indicate that there’s still something in that person that could be rehabilitated.
Fat chance now, though. If that particular prisoner ever gets out of Sing Sing, we can probably count on him to be a totally alienated sociopathic monster.
Dear god… Well he got convicted which is good.
However I don’t think anyone has thought about what prisoners do to people who used to be prison guards…

Ummm, yeah. What part’s confusing you? Had he killed these animals with the intention of eating the flesh and using the fur I might have disagreed with his taste in cuisine, but accepted that different people have different tastes.
But since you’re confused andros, let me clear it up for you.
THAT IS NOT WHAT HE DID. He killed the animals ONLY to cause the inmate pain and to flaunt his power over his charges. He derived no use from the kitten’s mangled, lifeless corpses. He would have done the same to a fully grown mama cat if she had not escaped. HE HAS EXPRESSED NO REMORSE WHATSOEVER, OR EVEN ANY INDICATION THAT HE BELIEVES WHAT HE DID WAS WRONG, or even inappropriate.
That is why we’re bitching, so unless you’re actually defending what this man did, please take your “you all eat meat, don’t you?” straw man and stuff it. Thank you.
I just find it interesting, that’s all. I find it interesting that cold, remoseless, cruel killing of unwanted pets is so much worse than cold, remorseless, cruel killing of cows for meat, simply because we “benefit” from the latter.
