Where it comes from, I’m not so sure, but the recent internetmeme is known as “lolcats”, and I have to admit I’m getting hooked. I tried to be all snooty and pretentious in the recent “So what do we think of lolcats” thread, but I found myself surrepticiously clicking it for more updates and sneaking off in the middle of the night to such sites as http://icanhascheezburger.com/ and laughing my ass off. Before I knew it, I was spurning my husband’s affections in favor of stuff like this and this. My own cats are beginning to look at me funny when I caption them lying in windowsills.
