Miraculously I had forgotten all about the thread so when I did a search on one of its nonsense phrases that I did remember the search came back with Weird utterances you can’t seem to forget from 06-24-2006!
Obviously my curiosity / interest in such matters just won’t go away!
(Plenty of candidates for this current thread if you want to rip one/some off!) 
At the risk of being too obscure even for this thread:

My grammar school aged playmates made plenty use of our interpretations of what the Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan would say to any of the critters in his entourage to get them to do anything, which was umgawa (sp?) only we would use it for almost any communication and hope the gestures and facial expressions that would accompany the noise would convey some sort of meaning to the others within earshot. Later on, more advanced Tarzan-speak would replace the umgawa thing and it became more like Kreegah Bundolo from the comic book version of the Apeman.
Any common ground here? Or is ungow another can of worms?
