This whole KMFDM getting back together is very very fishy. Me thinks they’re running low on funds and they’re getting back together for the gimmic of reuniting one of the most known “industrial” bands. Thusly, people will flock to buy their new cd( if they make one, of course) and they’re back in tha bizz. But hey, that’s what i think and what do i know? I was never really that fond of these guys in the 1st place.
For my own selfish part, I want to know why they didn’t do this six months ago, then we could have had the frighteningly wonderful Rammstein/KMFDM tour throughout the U.S., busting eardrums and hearts at a breakneck speed.
oh well.

Yeah, jar, I don’t know why they didn’t do it 6 months ago, but then again I guess they were still touring with MDFMK(whose album is quite good, actually).
There is a single due out this October from the new album and the album itself will be released in February 2002. Still no name, though.
I still don’t have any details as to why they reformed. Not that long ago(less than a year), MDFMK was talking like KMFDM was a long dead project. They swore they wouldn’t play old KMFDM songs, but played some off the Adios album(which was nearly MDFMK anyway).
Then again, why does KMFDM do anything?
Now I might actually be able to see them in concert!
Put them on a bill with Nitzer Ebb and Sisters of Mercy and my panties would be damp for a month.
Cool!
I just bought XORT and MONEY for myself for my birthday last night. Still don’t have a copy of ANGST though. Excellent news. Kicking it to XTORT right now.
KMFDM rocks
the ultimate sound
with a message from Satan
when you turn it around
God-d*** it’s hard to type on an i-mac keyboard. But at least I’m on the 'net in my kitchen.
“Our records have labels,
With a warning from Tipper;[1]
'cause we’re no good for kids -
if we got her we’d strip her!”
The really funny thing is, I’m not sure if this was in a remix I heard or what, but just after the “KMFDM forward - the ultimate sound! And a message from Satan if you turn it around!” line, there’s a burst of something that sounds like it might be backward music. I’ve never played that part backwards to see what it is, but I bet it’s something funny.

[1] Tipper Gore, Al Gore’s wife. She was fairly vocal about censoring music and movies at one time, I think.
I just hope whatever they release now isn’t as bad as that MDFMK project. I don’t care what anyone says; that album sucked hosewater.

Funny thing is, they don’t have any warning labels on any of their albums. They barely swear.
Really, Daowajan? I thought the MDFMK album was really good, as long as you skip the third track(which is extremely sub par). Sure, it approached being mainstream, but it was great anyway.
I do wish En Esch was still with them. Slick Idiot is good, but not as good as what he did with KMFDM. Still though, I’ve got high hopes for it…
