I live in Virginia and commute to Tennessee frequently. I’ve managed to stop drinking thanks to the substances in the title. Now it seems big pharma, etc. is weaseling into VA and TN to get the republicnt governments to cut out something that is beneficial to me and many others. Screw their profits. The kratom and delta 8 business must be cutting into their precious profits. I know some worthless Barney Fife types in law enforcement are going to end dying over a fuking plant and corporate greed as they enforce this sht. Well, fuk 'em. I’ve said before that the only good cop is a dead cop. Fu*k this fascist country.
To save others from having to look this up Delta 8 is a cannabanoid and Kratom is a drug that comes from a plant from asia I think.

Sometimes it just seems to me that posters here will act out of character. In this case, the same Dopers who will say they want drugs decriminalized will suddenly lash out at a guy they think is an addict. And we literally have a ACAB thread here in the Pit, so it’s not like they actually like cops, or have never felt this way.
I understand your concern, OP. There is an issue when things that were previously not restricted get under the thumb of the pharmaceutical industry. Things get a lot more expensive once they become a prescription–that is, if they don’t actually just treat it like a scheduled drug. If you depend on that substance to function, it makes sense that you would be upset and need to vent.
Just lay off the cop killing references. They could get you in a lot more trouble. If you want to talk about removing the ones who act like fascists, that’s why “defund the police” was invented.

Also, the OP strongly implied that they will kill police that try to confiscate the drug. I think most Dopers aren’t particularly supportive of that stance.
I think it’s because it comes off as a barely restricted violent rant - if it was well written, or showed any sign of awareness of how unhinged it sounded, or if there was ANY followup, then I think a lot more 'Dopers would be be supportive rather than dismissive. But the poster also uses language, that even if vaguely tolerated in the Pit (although some of it is extremely borderline) that just wipes out sympathy - see the epithet they used about Republicans.
And that’s leaving out entirely the thread they spat out just about 2 weeks after this one which got shut down as both as a call to action AND for using similarly verboten insults that I would have winced at two decades ago, much less now.

For the record though, I understand the OP feels that the materials in question help them with their attitude and drinking. IMHO I would suggest that these posts (although the poster is balanced enough to put them in the Pit at least!) indicate that they perhaps should seek some additional help as they both speak to a great deal of rage that is still bubbling over. Of course, they may just be a lot of us who let the vitriol spill online (and again, they’re clear enough to put it in the Pit) as a safety valve, at which point, it’s a solid coping mechanism rather than vent IRL.
Yeah, the blatant homophobia in the OP’s recent past is also not particularly endearing. I reported that old post for just that reason. (I assume I’m not the only one.)
I’m sure I know nothing about who else contributed to the 7 (!) flags that post got. Just saying.
