So, I just picked up USM#16, and Brian Michael Bendis has introduced the one, the only, Kraven the Hunter.
Bendis is one of the best Comic writers out there, so naturally I was a bit eager to see how Kraven’s made out.
Kraven is the Croc Hunter. He’s introduced on his t.v. show stating he’s “Going to the Big Apple.” Later, when his jet lands, he says (on National t.v.) that he’s going to hunt Spider-Man and “Kill 'im with me bare hands”.
All I have to say is…Bendis better have Spidey in a Headlock with the Kraven jamming his thumb up Spidey’s butthole, or I’m going to be disappointed.
Uh, you do know that Kraven is one of the oldest Spidey foes, dating back to the first twenty or so issues, when Steve Ditko was drawing and Stan Lee still writing, don’t you?
I dn’t understand the thread title. Is Spidey Kraven’s wife or something, a la our earlier thread about unintended nightime moves?
Erm Cal, you know what the “Ultimate” line of comics are, don’t you? They are complete re-imagining of the heros, from day one, fo the 21st century. For example, instead of being bitten by a radioactive spider, Peter Parker was bitten by a spider that had a wonder drug invented by Osborn industries in it. Altough much of the classic plot and drame remains, alot has been re-invented. (Mary Jane has been in USM since #1).
As for not understanding the thread title…I guess you ain’t a fan of South Park.
