L Frank Baum Quote

So, a few years ago I finally got around to reading most of the Oz books, and in the process came across a quote that I had as my signature for quite a while. However, since then I seem to have lost the quote. I was wondering if anyone here knew it.
I don’t recall which book its from. Its between the Wogglebug and I think the scarecrow, but could be the Tin Man.

Its something along the lines of
The Wobblebug says to Dorothy and her group “Aren’t you a queer Group.” To which the scarecrow replies 'You aren’t exactly normal yourself, so who are you to call us wierd?".

Thats nowhere near the way Baum worded it, but that’s the general idea. I’ve tried countless google searches, and can’t seem to find anything. Oz is next on my list of books to reread, so, I’ll get it eventually anyway, but I’m impatient.

Thanks

If you know which Oz book it is, you can search the text at Project Gutenberg.

I believe it was The Marvelous Land of Oz and Dorothy wasn’t in the scene, but (at minimum) Jack Pumpkinhead, The Sawhorse, the Scarecrow and Tip (aka Ozma) were.

My Oz books are packed away, but I’ll try to dig 'em out to look.

Well, this:

is from The Road to Oz.

I don’t recall Mr. H. M. Wogglebug, T.E. saying such, but I could be wrong.

In The Patchwork Girl of Oz, the patchwork girl makes up a song called, “When It’s Your Birthday It’s OK To Be Gay”, or something along those lines.

And the name “Button-Bright” just sounds…oh nevermind.
