Keep the following in mind: Post count is not always an indicator of quality. The only thing it really does indicate is that either the doper has written a lot.

As of this writing, I have over 700 posts. Nobody except a few other local dopers even know who I am. I blame this on my not being as insanely clever and witty as Fenris, Scylla, or the Queen of English-as-a-Frontal-Assault herself, jarbabyj. The vast majority of dopers wouldn’t even notice if I were to completely vanish from the face of the earth in the next fifteen minutes. Knowing this doesn’t bother me. It shouldn’t bother you, either.

My self-realization of my doper inadequacy has never prevented me from posting anything. It certainly has never stopped anyone else around here.

Remember you should focus on the quality of your posts, not the quantity. If you have nothing of value to add, then don’t post at all.
