I want to preface this by noting that I watched La Femme Nikita because I liked the (original) movie (as opposed to the shitty remake/steal Bridget Fonda did: Point of No Return) and that I watched Felicity because the girl I wass dating at the time was watching it and I had nothing else to do.
That said, does anyone else think Peta Wilson, aka La Femme Nikita, has a younger sister, and that that younger sister is the chick that played Ruby on Felicity?
No clue on the connection, but Peta Wilson is an Aussie, and there’s this great web site called the IMDB you can check for things like this.
And, Point of No Return rocked.
Watch the orignal LFN and you’ll see what a steaming heap Fondas’ rip-off was. I’m familiar w/ IMDB, thanks, been checking it for some time now. The point here is that these are both TV shows, not movies. LFN is on USA and Felicity is in the WB, so IMDB is of no help, no use and no guidance. Still a good site, tho’.
Yes, I’m much fonder (no pun intended) of the French original by Besson, but the American remake was a lot better than most American remakes are. And, Bridget Fonda is a lot hotter than Anne Parillaud (sp?).
Anyway, the IMDB lists biographical information, especially if the person in question is related to another person on the site. And, there are TV credits listed there, just not as extensively as movie credits.
Amy Smart plays Ruby on Felicity. She’s from California. Peta Wilson is from Australia. Neither of their biographical information pages indicate any link at all, except that they’re both gorgeous blondes.
except…wait, if they’re not related…ménage à trois!
Woohoo!
Weren’t you wondering if they were sisters originally?
Ick.
But, can I watch?
No, I knew they weren’t related, but the resemblance is quite uncanny. That was actually my point. Sorry for the confusion, thanks for the updates.
Oh, and I guess I’m not quite as up to speed on the IMDB as I once was, so thanks again for that.
And: sure you can watch, you’re going to be holding the camera!
