Ladies: Do you find men in uniform sexy? (A poll)

Cite, please??

Oy, I just remembered something. Once, when I was about 16, a bunch of friends and I were having a typical teenage giggly night downtown, and we saw a really hot cop out on foot patrol. I mentioned to my friends that he was cute and one of them jokingly suggested that I tell him so. Well, this was back when I had little fear, so I went right up to the guy and said, “Officer, you’re gonna have to arrest me for possession of looovvvve.” The cop laughed, my one friend was mortified, the rest of them laughed. Ahh, good times.

Seriously, if I’m ever in Canada, we need to hang out.

  1. Full military (doesn’t matter what branch) formal dress blues (or whites, or whatever).

  2. Airborne Rangers

  3. Cops

  4. UPS men

Most soytinly!

Does this include Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers?

Should I ask if you’ve ever gone up to Ballston Spa?

I have Navy dress blues and whites.
Firefighters gear.
A well tailored suit or three.

I don’t like anything military so those uniforms don’t do anything for me.

As you wish

The hair (or lack of it) kills it for me, every time. God knows I don’t like shaggy, but there is something so anal about that recruit cut.

And they all walk like they have poles up their asses. I am not attracted to uptight men in the least…

Cops? I’m worried that he’s gonna bust me for speeding.

Firefighters? No-have neighbors who are firemen and meh.

Ninjas? Not interested. Monks, now…hmmmm.

Now, if we broaden the definition of uniform a bit–a nice lanky guy in a lab coat or UPS uniform…or even a tuxedo (a uniform of sorts) does it for me…

This would be the only ‘uniform’ I find sexy, and then only if accompanied by the period long hair. Modern-day uniforms are USUALLY topped with short, regulation haircuts, and I don’t find that sexy at all .

Gimme HAIR !!

Oh my, yes. I’ll also agree on the tux.

Other uniforms don’t do much for me. Like others have said, it’s the bristly hair and the stiff necked attitude.

Ladies, ladies, ladies! If you want knights in shining armor, forget the Ren Faires and go straight to the SCA. It also gives you a larger percentage of men in tights and men in kilts, either of which can be very good things!

As for me, I admit a guy in a nice set of Navy Whites will draw a second look from me, and I have a weakness for guys in the old Air Force leather flight jackets, or their modern day imitators. There is also a lot to be said for a man in a tux, especially if there’s a chance of getting him out of it later!

Alas! The man I love is as unmilitary as you can get, although he used to wear a leather flight jacket. It’s falling apart, but maybe I can talk him into wearing it again? He’d also look great in a tux if only I could convince him it wouldn’t be uncomfortable. On the other hand, his work uniform of cotton shirts and slacks is something I consider damn sexy, especially if he’s wearing one of his older shirts which is worn to a point of lovely softness while still looking good.

Heh, heh…and people wonder why I badgered my husband into joining the SCA. Seeing him in armor is an instant aphrodisiac.

As for other guys, the tights really never do it for me, and the kilt depends a lot on the legs wearing it.
That black leather and silver plate armor on my hubby, though? With his long, raven locks? Rowr!

My husband is in the AF Reserve, so my number one is definately BDU’s. However, they must have the right haircut with them. No buzzcuts or high-and-tights; I prefer a flat-top. Short enough on the back and sides to show off the shape of his skull, but long enough on top to run my fingers through - mmm. I really dislike dress uniform though; it looks so tight and uncomfortable.

Number two - You know those red flight suits that Luke Skywalker and the other rebels wore when they attacked the Death Star? Very sexy.

Number three would probably be those green surgical scrubs.

This kind of thing always amuses me because my little brother is in the Navy. I used to think those uniforms were hot until I went to his graduation and saw all these kids in their whites … well, they just all looked so young. The blues, though, on the right man, are nice.

I like BDUs best, as far as uniforms go. Mrowr.

My husband was in the Marines and I love all their uniforms!

He took me to a Marine Corps Ball one year and I was standing out in the hallway next to the mens’ restroom. Every single one of them said “ma’am” and smiled and nodded to me when they went past. All these cute men in their dress blues . . . YUM!

But one of my all-time favorites is when my husband was coming home from one of his drill weekends and he showed up at my apartment in his camis (cap and all) with a boquet of flowers. I nearly jumped on him at the front door. That was the sexiest he has ever looked in his life.

By the way, I realized I have no idea what “BDUs” are. Could someone please link to a photo of them, preferably one showing why they look good? I ask this purely in the interest of fighting ignorance, you understand.

CJ

I think they mean this.

or maybe [.

There’s [url=http://www.imsplus.com/ims7q.html]this](Army Navy Superstores - BDU's, Surplus, Camo, Hunting gear, Military[/url), too.

But those look like fatigues to me.

I think BDU’s means Battle Dress Uniform. Please, anyone correct me if I’m wrong!

Wow, my coding in the last few days has just been killer.
