Yes. it’s a very deliberately cultivated image though she may possibly have had a nose job more recently
We’ll have to agree to disagree; I thought her face was uncommonly ugly since the first time I saw it. It’s slightly better since her cosmetic surgery and when she wears a normal style wig. In fact she looks quite pretty in parts of “Bad Romance”. Oddly, those are the parts when she doesn’t look like herself. No offense to DiosaBellissima or any other fans. Heck, I’m a fan myself. I just think she’s a very talented woman with a gorgeous body and . . . I’ll just leave it at that.
I’m not offended. Save for the fact that I too have big ol’ Roman nose, too. 
I’m not a huge fan but I think she at least is an entertaining performer if you watch her with a tongue in your cheek - and the “poker face” chorus was a fine bit of pop. The album was rather disappointing. and her more recent singles.
She’s like a cut price Madonna but with a nicer bum.IMHO
I think she plays up the rumors about her as well. She was on Jay Leno recently, and he asked her what rumors about her bothered her most (clearly hinting at this whole controversy).
Her response: “The rumor that I’m from Yonkers” 
I also think Lady Gaga must mean that she looks more like a drag queen than a “natural” woman. So it’s not that she looks masculine, but that her hair, makeup, and costumes are so exaggerated and outright weird that she doesn’t register as truly feminine either.
She’s probably write a song about it.
I wouldn’t call her androgynous at all. Her style is way outside normal “masculine” or “feminine” standards, I guess that’s what she means.
She’s hot, tho’.
I’d call her tomboyish, not really androgynous. There’s just too much femininity there. I don’t buy the meta-androgyny angle. Androgyny is acting like you have no gender, not a guy acting like a girl or a girl acting like a guy. So why would it be a girl acting like a guy acting like a girl?
A hermaphrodite - which is what some are suggesting she is - does not sport a…er…OEM penis. S/he owns ambiguous genitalia, which is quite different (and which would not be detected from five feet away).
I’m not saying she is a hermaphrodite; don’t know, don’t care.
But be careful what you bet your life on, DB.
My 2 bits.
1- I think she is well aware of the rumors, and plays to them. Note how often lately she doesn’t allow a clear shot of her crotch… well placed thigh or something, or her hand. I thinks she’s a she, and plays with heads with the rumor. Plus, I saw a pic of her in some short shorts in a getup that had what was clearly a tampon string hanging out.
2- My wife has a theory that there are more than one “Lady Gaga”. there is the original, of course, who does the recordings and speaking interviews and such, and then others, male or female, who do things like go to clubs and stuff. This would fit in with the whole “performance art” aspect of her and what she does.
I just dropped in to register my prediction that she marries Eddie Izzard and they live happily ever after.
And I agree she’s quite feminine.
