Lady Gaga = Poker Face

She does makeup like a drag queen, but she probably has a decent enough face underneath it. She’ll probably get out of that phase in a year or two, I’m guessing.

Considering her avant guard background, she’ll surely change up her style often, but I’d be surprised if she went all-natural anytime soon. She reportedly wears the platinum wig because people kept confused her for Amy Winehouse, who’s one of the homeliest women in pop.

I am a huge Lady Gaga fan because she is absolutely ridiculous… and a lot of people are missing the fact that she’s quite aware that she’s ridiculous and that’s part of the gimmick. She’s basically the Andy Kaufman of pop music.

On one hand, I acknowledge the problem. On the other, I deny there is a problem.

It’s not a problem with the filming. The problem would come with the broadcasting!

You can always imagine her singing “butterface”, rather than Pokerface.

Her body looks like it just came out of the washing machine, and her head looks like it was left in the dryer too long.

LOL.

Buh buh buh butterface
Buh buh butterface.

Have you heard her play this on the piano? She’s quite talented.

Wow. Do you think that’s the original version of the song? Sounds like it.

Despite her looking like Uncle Fester who’s lost his pants, she’s rather good - and therefore even hotter than before I saw that.

You’re not the first…

warning: some profanity

Another vote for drag queen.

Here’s an interesting New Yorker article about her.

so in one video she can’t say “muffin”, but in the next video she can sing “i want to ride your disco stick”?

and yes, she’s hot.

I don’t get the appeal, musically or physically. I’m not seeing anything in either.

Thank you for the link.

I appreciated the authors acknowledgement of Peaches being a clear forerunner for Gaga. It’s clearly there but it’s rarely commented on.

You’re welcome.

Honestly, and I’m usually quite effusive about female pulchritude in even marginal cases, I don’t think she’s as attractive as any number of women I see at the mall in Omaha.
