The spacebar and the arrow keys have stopped working on my Dell L502X. I’ve found a site that sells Dell OEM parts, however the only one i’ve found in stock is the backlit version. Does anyone know if they generally have the same connectors for power etc?
Depends on your computer.
On that model, according to the manual, you can.
However, before ordering anything, I’d first take it apart and look at the connections. If you’ve only got one wide cable band, the backlit keyboard might work, but obviously it won’t light up. If you’ve got the wide band plus a narrow strip with a connector on the end, that’s the backlight cable. If there’s a place to connect a backlight cable, you’re good.
