Larry Hovis, 67, died Tuesday

I don’t think I’m stepping on Eve’s toes with this one. If I am, sorry, Eve.

Larry Hovis, probably best known as Carter on Hogan’s Heroes died this week at Austin’s Cristopher House. The Houston Chronicle has a write up. He’s probably best remembered for his work on TV, but they’ve been playing some of his singing on the radio and the guy had a great voice. Apparently, he was a fair jazz drummer, too, and no slouch as a stand up. Talented guy.

More here.

(I did a search and didn’t find a thread about this. Maybe he wasn’t a big enough star to warrant one, but I heard him singing on the radio and, man, nice voice.)

He was always good on The Liar’s Club.

Aw, what a shame; a good character actor. So young, too!

Man, that was a cool show! I thought I was the only one who remembered it.

Liar!

He was also on Gomer Pyle and Laugh In. Not than anyone noticed.
