Heads up; the show’s back from hiatus tonight. Kristen Wiig is guest staring.
Sounds like they’re going back to the beginning, to explain how the disease started.
President Pence eh?
So I guess we know who’s responsible for that drone we saw earlier this season
Yep. I wonder if we’re going to see tweets about that? Sad!
At least the dog didn’t die onscreen, I was dreading that. Other than that I enjoyed Pamela’s descent into madness. Also cool bunker.
Don’t forgot about President Betsy DeVos; at least we finally got a woman President before the world ended. ![]()
I admit I missed the significance of the drone we saw the cliffs of Malibu. :o
It was a really good episode. So dark and so funny. I like Tandy’s group of friends, but it reminded me how much I enjoyed watching his isolation-induced madness in the first few episodes. The title was “Got Milk?” for anyone who didn’t catch it, and it fits so well.
I mean, I really want to find out how Mary Steenbergen is doing in the elevator, but this was good enough I’ll forgive them for making me wait at least another week.
The plague was probably due to Trump defunding the CDC before either being impeached or dying.
That was much darker than previous episodes but it was interesting. At the end, it appeared that Pamela was ready to head out to find Tandy’s group. But I don’t think she left immediately and Tandy’s group has moved on. Will she be able to find them again?
Last night’s episode is a perfect example of why I love this show so much. Unlike most all other half hour shows (can’t really call this a sit-com) I never know where it’s going to go.
"Got Milk? was similar to Season 2’s Spring Season premiere ep. “Pitch Black” where we follow another person’s reaction to the world wide virus. (last year Mike Miller and last night Kristen Wiig’s Pamela Brinton) This opens up so many possible story ideas, I was hoping that when Tandy & Carol went on the road after season one we’d get more opportunity’s to see more of the world and more possible survivors and we’re getting that, in a way.
This show also has the unique capabilities to feature or guest star actors & actresses who either don’t often do TV or can’t commit to a series. (Last night Kristen Wiig & Laura Dern, and previously Well Ferrell, Jin Hamm & Jason Sudeikis)
I’m really curious to see where this show is going to go.
They’re no longer at Malibu, and they won’t have left any notes or clues because they don’t want Pat to find them.
Maybe Pamela will encounter Pat!
As Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos is third to last in the line of succession. One would think that, by the time the Senate president pro tempore or thereabouts had kicked the bucket, they’d move whoever was next in line to a hermetically sealed bunker.
I believe a news crawl said “President Pence - dead at 61”, so this will take place before Pence’s 62nd birthday - June 7, 2020.
i.e. Trump will not get a full term.
I’m picturing her “state funeral”; a group of Marines in biohazard toss a body bag with a Presidential Seal on it in a pit with other VIPs.
Pence was born in 1959, but the way they mentioned President Pence it was clear Trump’s presidency ended early (one way or the other) and not because of the virus. Also I just thought of a really dark BBC broadcast that could take place in this universe.
Queen Elizabeth II dies, shot of little Prince George saluting his great-grandmother’s coffin. King Charles III dies, shot of little Prince George saluting his grandfather’s coffin. King William V dies, shot of little King George VII saluting his father’s coffin. Cue shot of a little coffin.
Voucher? I hardly knew her!
Tandy met Carol at the end of the very first episode. They’ve never done complete isolation for a full episode; there’s always at least a second human in the final scene.
Am I alone in assuming that Pamela is just going to die? We know from Tandy’s brother that the virus is still active, so Pamela will likely contract it (assuming she’s not immune) before we catch up to the present day in the next episode. I wouldn’t be surprised if we never saw her again.
But she is almost certainly immune. Her husband, in bed next to her, coughed up blood on his pillow. Pretty doubtful she wasn’t exposed before he got himself to the sauna.
That would mean that both her and the dog are immune, which seems like an unlikely coincidence. Maybe I’m overthinking this.
To that point, I noticed her touching the handle to the sauna door, which her husband almost certainly touched when he locked himself in.
