They do side plots like self-circumscision just for a power-trip. The writers must sit around laughing evilly, knowing that a major segment of the US population is gritting teeth and clenching up because of the episode they wrote.

Also, I know that it was made fairly obvious, but I got a surge of pride in my TV-medicine knowledge when I diagnosed menengitus 20 seconds before Dr. Lewis did.

There’s now a thread on this episode in Café Society, started by someone else. Even though I started this one first, I started it in the wrong forum. So, if a mod has the urge to move this one, they should close it instead. I’ll make my comments in the other thread. Again: Sorry 'bout that.
