Last Remaining Cast Members

Obviously a slip, but just mentioning that she was Flo in the movie. Ellen Burstyn was Alice.

Oops. Thanks for the correction.

Speaking of Alice, Diane Ladd, Flo in the movie and Belle on the TV show just died leaving Celia Weston, Jolene, as the last remaining regular cast member. Not counting Eliot from the final season.

She was great in David lynch movies.

Dammit!

With the death of June Lockhart, Jon Provost is the only surviving cast member of any of the iterations of Lassie, from 1954 to 1973.

I’m still amazed that Mel Brooks is the last remaining main cast/crew member of Young Frankenstein.

All in the Family is down to just Sally Struthers, unless you count Danielle Brisebois, I guess.

Next time you want to stump someone with a trivia question, ask them what two regular cast members of All in the Family have been nominated for Oscars.

I count Danielle Brisebois. And it’s possible that she could be the last remaining cast character for 20 years or more.

Wasn’t Barry Gordon a regular for a couple of years? He’s still with us.

This should be in the “Things I hadn’t realized” thread. It was a very short time ago that I realized Danielle Brisebois was a founding member of the group New Radicals.

And nominated for an Oscar for songwriting about ten years ago.

I think Reiner was nominated as one of the producers of A Few Good Men.

And more on All in the Family.

I have a box set of the show. Each season is in a different case. Most seasons have a picture of the main four cast members along with their names. Except.

Season 6 and 7: Baby Joey is in the picture (Mike and Gloria’s son).

Season 8. Only Archie and Edith. Mike and Gloria were off the show. Even though Stephanie was in the main cast, they didn’t put her on the picture. And they didn’t put her name on the top of the case.

Sidney Kibrick died on Jan 3, 2026, at the age of 97. He was the last remaining actor in the Our Gang/Little Rascals films of the 20s/30s/40s.

Is anyone left from The Rifleman?

Chuck Conners died in 1992
Johnny Crawford 2021
Paul Fix 1983
Patricia Blair 2013. Season 5
Joan Taylor 2012 Season 3,4

There were a bunch of guest stars. Every week usually introduced a couple drifters that wanted to kill Lucas McCain.

For example Dennis Hopper appeared twice, he died in 2010.

Michael Burns played an adolescent gunfighter out to kill Lucas. Michael is still around according to Wikipedia. You might know him better from “Wagon Train” as Barnaby West. Only one episode of "The Rifleman " though.

Speaking of “Wagon Train”, Robert ‘Cooper Smith’ Fuller is still alive.

Google claims Lucas killed 109 throughout 168 episodes. :cowboy_hat_face:

I liked the more personal episodes. Mark gets hit by tensioned barbed wire fencing and gets blood poisoning. Lucas lost his wife while under a doctors care. It was difficult for Lucas to trust another doctor.

Luckily Mark recovered. IIRC he got sick several times.

When all you have a rifle you can do cool tricks with, all your problems look like something you can solve with a cool rifle! Loved that show (in rerun) when I was a lad).

I think these were the only three main cast members for the entirety of the series.

To a toddler with a hammer…
