Sidney Kibrick, Child Actor in the Our Gang Comedy Shorts, Dies at 97
He played the bad kid known as “Woim” — Butch’s sidekick. As perhaps the last surviving actor of those films, he was still getting fan mail at the time of his death.
The youngest of the Anderson kids is the first to go. Elinor Donahue and Billy Gray are still with us.
Her real-life story reads like a horror novel.
An update. Dunagan has a new movie out. After an eighty-three year absence (1942 to 2025) he is appearing in Sub Rosa.
I think Dunagan has probably set a record for the longest “break” in an acting career.
Caren Marsh Doll is still alive at 107, and is one of the 3 remaining cast members of the Wizard of Oz. She was Judy Garland’s stand in and it’s her legs clicking the ruby slippers together. Two actors who played Munchkins (Priscilla Montgomery Clark and Valerie Lee Shepard) are also still alive.
Shelley Fabares just passed away. That leaves two main cast members of the Donna Reed Show still alive, Paul and Patty Petersen, who are siblings and played siblings (although Patty’s character was adopted) on the show. Patty was introduced when Shelley Fabares left, so she might not be considered a main cast member.
ALF has been a weird one.
Paul Fusco, who voices ALF, is alive.
The girl from the family is alive, Andrea Elson.
Everyone else, including the younger brother, is dead. Pretty recent show to have almost all its cast dead. The little boy died from liver cirrhosis and heat stroke from sleeping in his car. Sad.
Edit: The little person inside the ALF suit has also died.

Barbara Barrie just past away at 95, leaving Hal Linden (also 95) and Max Gail (83).
With the recent death of Susan St James, John Schuck has become the last remaining cast member of McMillian & Wife.
If we take a step back, McMillian & Wife was one of the three original series, along with Columbo and McCloud, that were part of the The NBC Mystery Movie. All of the cast members of Columbo and McCloud have died, so Schuck is now the last remaining original cast member of the The NBC Mystery Movie. (Other series were added to the rotation after the first season, and some of them have surviving cast members.)
Valerie, it seems, died 12 Apr 2026 (two days after that was posted). Priscilla is now 97 and Caren, as noted, is 107.
Mash movie is dwindling fast.

And that was before Patrick Stewart’s passing (but after Walter Koenig). I don’t think he’ll outlive the TNG cast (I’d bet on Wheaton being the last man standing there) but he’s certainly hanging in there.
John “Bobby” Wright just passed away this week, the last of the cast of McHale’s Navy. He had more of a career as a country musician than as an actor. Yoshio Yoda passed away in 2023.

Nitpicking the nitpick:
Technically, there should be no spaces in there, but a lot of people on this board omit the asterisks entirely, because Discourse is a pain in the backside about it, and assumes you are trying to italicize the letters in between the asterisks…and don’t know the hack, like you used, to stop Discourse from doing that.
If one types in the name of the show, the way that it was styled (no spaces, an asterisk between each letter), Discourse gives you this:

If one tries to also italicize the entire word (because it’s the title of a show), you get this:
MASH*
Yes, as I said I was being nitpicky.
The spaces are the only way I could get Discourse to do it without the italics. Not really a hack so much as I just screwed with it until it more or less looked like what I was trying to do.
