Sidney Kibrick, Child Actor in the Our Gang Comedy Shorts, Dies at 97
He played the bad kid known as “Woim” — Butch’s sidekick. As perhaps the last surviving actor of those films, he was still getting fan mail at the time of his death.
The youngest of the Anderson kids is the first to go. Elinor Donahue and Billy Gray are still with us.
Her real-life story reads like a horror novel.
An update. Dunagan has a new movie out. After an eighty-three year absence (1942 to 2025) he is appearing in Sub Rosa.
I think Dunagan has probably set a record for the longest “break” in an acting career.
Caren Marsh Doll is still alive at 107, and is one of the 3 remaining cast members of the Wizard of Oz. She was Judy Garland’s stand in and it’s her legs clicking the ruby slippers together. Two actors who played Munchkins (Priscilla Montgomery Clark and Valerie Lee Shepard) are also still alive.
Shelley Fabares just passed away. That leaves two main cast members of the Donna Reed Show still alive, Paul and Patty Petersen, who are siblings and played siblings (although Patty’s character was adopted) on the show. Patty was introduced when Shelley Fabares left, so she might not be considered a main cast member.
ALF has been a weird one.
Paul Fusco, who voices ALF, is alive.
The girl from the family is alive, Andrea Elson.
Everyone else, including the younger brother, is dead. Pretty recent show to have almost all its cast dead. The little boy died from liver cirrhosis and heat stroke from sleeping in his car. Sad.
Edit: The little person inside the ALF suit has also died.
