Late-night Starbucks in the LA area?

It’s 3 AM, and I’m getting that craving for overpriced caffeine again. Does anyone know of any 24-hour Starbuckses in the Los Angeles area?

Specifically, I’m looking for something within a 30-minute or so drive from Pasadena, but if you’re not sure about the distance, tell me anyway and I’ll find out myself

This might seem like a strange question, but I don’t know where else to ask it and the online Starbucks store locator doesn’t allow me to filter by business hours.

Thanks in advance!

Bump… somebody must knwo of one?

I don’t have an answer to your question, however, I’d like to know if there is one in the San Francisco Bay Area. I don’t drink coffee anymore, but I’m just curious.

It’s got to be Starbucks?

I’m sure there are some late-night coffee shops around that might do a good job with a cup of caffeine (but I’m not up at that hour myself, couldn’t say 'zackly where).

It’s gotta be a Starbucks. It’s the only place that offers overpriced caffeine, overpriced pastries, and overpriced WiFi all together in one little overcrowded shack. Pure heaven.

On my last vacation to SF I found a Starbucks in the theater district.I think it was on Sutton, down the street from the Beresford Hotel. It opened at 5am

Can I expand this to Cleveland’s eastern suburbs? Out here, every coffeehouse, independent or chain, closes at 10:00 PM. This isn’t the sticks, either - it’s actually a very urban area, despite being outside the city limits.

FYI, I emailed them and got this back:

**In response to your recent inquiry, all of the 24-Hr. store locations in California are listed below for you. If you need more specific contact information for these stores, you may use our online store locator at www.Starbucks.com.

Ceres, CA

Broadway & H Street
Chula Vista, CA

La Verne, CA

Yosemite & Hwy 99
Manteca, CA

Reseda & Vanowen

groman: According to that list, there are three stores semi-close to the Bay Area: San Lorenzo, Manteca, and Ceres.

elmwood: I only managed to get a list for California, but you can try emailing them yourself using this form. They were very helpful when I did it.

As for my own own question (about locations near LA), there are three: Sherman Oaks, La Verne, and Reseda.

I’d just go to 7-11. The coffee is much cheaper, and it’s actually good. No foam, but lots of flavours.

You can’t sit down at a 7-11 and waste five hours browsing the SDMB

Heh, I didn’t know the one at Ventura and Noble was 24 hour. That’s only a couple miles from home, good to know for those nights when I can’t sleep. Thanks for the info Reply.

Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that at least one of those stores (the La Verne one) only has a 24-hour drivethru; the sit-down section closes at 12:30 to 1:00. It may be best to call ahead (you can find phone numbers using Starbucks’s store locator) and verify the business hours yourself before heading to one of these.
