Answer to Mahaloth:

Did Kevin lose a bunch of money because of the phrase “naked desire”? Yes

But, he neither said that nor was he supposed to. Nor did he say anything similar to it. Yes, that is correct. He neither said “naked desire” nor was he supposed to. He said nothing similar.

Did he mispronounce the phrase? No

Answer to Peter Morris

Was it some sort of public service announcement? No

Was it the speech delivered to a live audience? Yes On TV?Yes On radio? No In a movie? No

No to all

Was Kevin on a TV game show?
Jeopardy?
Wheel of Fortune?

Was the incident in the 1940’s?
1950’s?
1960’s?
1970’s?
1980’s?
1990’s?
2000’s?
2010’s?

Uh oh.

No to Jeopardy

Yes to Wheel of Fortune

Not sure if the date, but probably in the last couple of decades.

The Institute of Dumb People Who Aren’t Participating Because They Googled What They Shouldn’t can tell you it’s a **yes **to 2010’s

Now we will see if anyone can guess the details and why this is so amusing.

I think I have an idea.

Was “naked desire” supposed to be “named desire”?

If so, I think the solution is pretty clear. I still don’t get it. If the dude said “Streetcar NAKED desire”, then he said the phrase but was not supposed to…which we were told he didn’t.

My guess, which has to be wrong based on our info(he didn’t say it or wrongly say it) is:

Did Kevin say “Street Car Naked Desire” instead of “Street Car Named Desire”?

I think that’s almost it. I think he didn’t actually say “Naked Desire”, but he implied it, by asking for a K.

May I ask the next question?

I don’t want to step on your toes, but I remembered a puzzle from years ago. You’ll have to ask questions, but I hope it’ll be fun.

“The music stopped, and she died.”

I wonder if you guys can solve this in twenty questions or less. You can Google this one, but I hope you guys will avoid doing that and give this an honest attempt.

This one was in the old thread.

Here’s a new one.

You think you know where this dance happened. You’re wrong. It actually took place in a nearby location. Where was it?

It was in a nearby location!

Right? No?

Well, yes, but you need a little more than that.

Does “dance” mean a person or group of people dancing?

Does it mean a party or other specific event where dancing is expected to occur?

Does it mean a type of dance, like the waltz or the tango?

Does it mean a metaphorical “dance,” like “the dance of diplomacy” or something like that?

Is the “dance” a well-known event?

Did it happen in the real world?

In a fictional work?

So I’m thinking of West Side story while standing in Hollywood, and thinking the dance happened near Lincoln Square, but it actually took place on The Lot.

Or some other dance from a movie or music video was shot near where I am now, but I’m thinking it took place somewhere else.
