Lateral Thinking Puzzles. Let's do it again!

or one at a time? N

Can they be used by just one person Y
or is interacting with the other person part of using them? N
Do children normally use them? Y Toddlers? N
If someone were to borrow it/them, take it home, and use it in the way you and your wife are using it, assuming they otherwise took good care of it, would they be able to return it in the same condition as it is now and would it still be exactly as useful to you as it is now? Y

AAA?
BBB?
CCC?
DDD?

ZZZ?

(Note to Discourse, yes my post was a complete sentence, keep your nose out)

Let’s try this:

Would it be possible for someone to borrow this object from you?

I’m assuming that you took that to be 26 questions, which yielded 26 Ns. If not, please clarify.

YYY? Y

Any question containing a Y gets a Y

There is a certain something most everyone uses frequently. Right now on a table in my living room, there are two of them, though I suppose there might soon be a third and even a fourth if my wife or I desire. But we both agree that’s where it stops!

If you were to use them and were to ask me about it, I would surely be able to tell you why. Therefore you should be able to tell me what my wife and I are currently using them for. What?

Tell me Y

reply to CardboardBoxx:

Tell me Y

I will ask you instead. For what reason do people have two “Y” s on a table, and there could possibly be two more (but that’s it!)?

Scrabble tiles and two blank?

ETA: Except if I understand the rules, you actually have to answer N to this

That said, YOU GOT IT!!! My wife and I were playing Scrabble!

…and if we used a Y, you would sure be able to tell us ‘Y’.

(groan)

Yes, I did warn you. And I hoped the use of Y and N, (as opposed to Yes and No) would point to the truth.

Reminds me of this thread.

I think people got frustrated with that thread after awhile because of the difficulty though.

You have probably seen the name of this small town written down, though you may not have given it much thought. Otherwise, you would probably have never heard of the place. Yet this town has been the recipient of an honor that has only been awarded to a few other places in the world, and more times than any other place. How was this town honored?

(If it helps, I did not like that last puzzle and won’t be playing any sort of meta trickery.)

Is it in an English speaking country?

Is the honor because of the place’s name?
Something that happened there?

(And I didn’t like that last puzzle either. It wasn’t in the spirit of the game, IMO)

I like the idea of the last puzzle, but I grew a bit tired of it and kind of gave up when I realized it wasn’t a standard lateral thinking.

It was very creative, though.

I could list every country in the world, but perhaps to save time I’ll ask:

What country is this town in?

Does this town really exist?

Is this award something we have heard of?
