I’m having trouble formulating this to get at the idea I want. So, as opposed to Folly’s question above, would the primary reason have been something in the very general area of “I’m drinking this milk in front of news cameras to show solidarity with the dairy farmers, who are getting screwed over”? Not that specifically, but maybe a similar-ish idea?

OR “People claim this milk is unsafe. I’m going to drink it to show it’s safe.” like the whole raw milk controversy in the 80s. No. I think everyone knew the milk was fine normal ordinary milk.
Was it newsworthy because it was him? Only in part.
Because of the cow that the milk came from? In part.
Because of where the milk was drunk? In part, I think.
