Lateral Thinking Puzzles. Let's do it again!

Was the cow a clone? Perhaps the first one raised to maturity and able to give milk?

No to clone

Was the scientific advancement with:

  • Charles, himself
  • the milk
  • his method of drinking
  • something else

Please give use the exact year. I’m not going to Google it, but would rather know than ask about every decade and year combination.

What year?

Is the newsworthiness of this event specific to milk (as opposed to, say, choosing plain water or lemonade or rum instead)?

Is the location of Charles’s milk drinking of any particular interest to us?

To expand on this, was the scientific advancement with the cow?
Did the scientific advancement involve…
…Genetic technology?
…Dietary science?
…Other biological science?
…Chemistry?
…Psychology?
…Physics?
…Mathematics?
…Some other science?

(OK, it’ll be REALLY interesting if it involves physics or mathematics, but trying to be thorough)

  • his method of drinking No
  • something else Yes

What year? I think that would require every lateral thinking puzzle to post a year for every puzzle. So guess them all if you want, but I’d rather not do it this way.

Is the location of Charles’s milk drinking of any particular interest to us? Not sure. All the articles I found talk about Charles drinking the milk, sort of imply he was at a certain location. So, assuming he was at that location, it might help.

…Some other science? Yes, at least according to one article.

Was the actual drinking of the milk itself newsworthy (as opposed to just being a good photo op)? That is to say, would it still have been significant if it had just existed, and nobody in particular drank it?

Was Charles a scientist?
If so, was he directly involved in the scientific advancement with the cow?
Was Charles a politician?
Was he an athlete?
Was he a performer?

Did the scientific advancement involve the cow producing more milk than normal?
Did the scientific advancement involve producing milk of a greater quality (if it’s unclear, define this as “likely to fetch a higher price”)?
Is this scientific advancement now standard for dairy cows?
(going out on a limb, here…) Was the cow female?

Charles consuming it perhaps made it even more newsworthy.

Just to be crystal clear: Charles, a person who is well known for some reason, drinks a glass of milk in an event intended to publicize some scientific advancement related to the milk and/or the cow it came from. Are all parts of that statement correct?

Now, in reading that statement, I realize I’m making an assumption that I don’t think has been established by the Q&A. So: Was this milk-drinking event preplanned (as opposed to being something that just took place and happened to draw unintended attention)?

Did it happen in the first half of the last century?

Was the milk in something? Tea?

Is this Prince Charles?

Biotop already replied Charles was an American.

Everything was preplanned.

Yes

reply to Mahaloth:
Was the milk in something? Tea? No. Just milk

Is this Prince Charles? No

Was it Charles Atlas?

You said one of the sciences involved was psychology…

Psychology of cows?

Psychology of people?

If this particular scientific advancement had not happened…

Would Charles still have been able to drink milk from a cow?

From this particular cow?
