Brace yourselves, people. Chris Matthews has once again discovered an example of how out-of-touch the “elitist” Barack Obama is. Seems he was offered a cup of coffeee at a diner and… wait for it… asked for a glass of orange juice instead!

The only reason I even watch Chris Matthews is his proximity to Olbermann in the programming. He’s a moron and only a few notches above Tucker - who is thankfully canceled. At least Olbermann’s shtick for ratings is funnier and less… grasping at straws.
Can Matthews survive this?

I envision Mr. Obama looking kind of flustered, smiling weakly, trying to shake people’s noses, their elbows, hugging pillars, finding a table with the chair resting on top of it and pulling fruitlessly down on the legs, finally giving a hopelessly pleading smile back to the cameras and mouthing ‘Just not good at this!’
And as we all know, orange juice is the milk from the devil’s tits.
Which is a bit disturbing because I just poured myself some orange juice when I sat down. Maybe I’m an elitist pig too.

I don’t know, guys. Remember what happened to Kerry when he ordered his Philly cheesesteak with swiss?
Is he serious- you always take coffee if offered, even if you don’t drink it or want it? On what planet? He’s trying to equate this with some insult to your host in a foreign country or something? All good Christian Americans drink coffee I guess. 
I like Mathews’ suggestion that Obama first accept the non-wanted cup of coffee, and THEN ask for orange juice. That way he can walk around the diner trying to shake people’s hands while holding a beverage in each hand.
Which is another perfect example of the priorities of the MSM.
If this really all they can get on the guy? That he sometimes prefers orange jui…waitaminnit!
Barack favors O.J.! And he doesn’t drink coffee–probably a closeted Mormon! The man’s probably got illuminati ties to Farrakhan, David Duke and Thomas S. Monson–they will be the ones truly in charge of this great nation if we put this charlatan in office!
Or maybe he’s just queer for O.J. and was attempting to come out in a candid moment with some regular folks.
I think we need another thread about black people not drinking coffee. The first one was such a success.
Obviously only a communist homosexual would choose orange juice to the exclusion of coffee. We all know that, it’s not up for debate. What I am questioning is the wisdom of Barack HUSSEIN Obama flaunting his homosexuality and communism to the American people.
Do we really want a president with that kind of judgment?
What is worse, Matthews spending a few seconds discussing this or folks here obsessing over this incident? And you’ve offered a false dichotomy, at least in CM’s case. I usually watch his show, and while it’s got its flaws, he has spent lots and lots of time discussing important issues like Global Warming, the Iraq War, NSA wiretapping, Guantanamo, tax policy, etc.
Are we not allowed a touch of humor now and again?

You know, people should make an effort to define this kind of stuff so that we can possibly fight it.
But what the hell is it? Obama make a gaffe. Chris Matthews knows this and yet he gets on his show and breathlessly wrings his hands over “How people will react!?!?!”
What can you even call this garbage? Really, the best example I can see for it is concern trolling, except concern trolling is a bit more aimed. It’s concern jornalism, it tries to find an issue with a candidate through the methods of concern trolling. Concern trolling is listing of a weak part of a candidate, with concern, as if one actually supported said candidate. But what Chris Matthews is doing is reporting from an “independent” viewpoint with “concern” about how the people not watching his TV show will think about it. If you’re sitting around watching Chris Matthews you are given the benefit of the doubt as to whether or not this is important, but the question is, what about the unwashed masses?
