According to today’s IMdB, JLo and Ben have vowed never to work together again.
Now if we could just get them to agree to stop working separately, we’d be getting somewhere.

Ah yes, blame the publicity on your crappy movie. The Onion has a funny take on the situation.
When clicking I was almost sure the OP was going to be about the Onion article.
Onion was particularily good, this week. The JLo-Affleck story was hilarious, the one about adorable Democratic presidential candidate was good too, and so was “Gorzo the Mighty” column (I’m almost 100% sure they’ve done another Gorzo the Mighty column previously, BTW, though I don’t remember what it was.) Even Jean Teasdale was great, and I’m generally not a big Jeanketeer.
The best part of The Onion for me is the What do you Think? section. The comments go so well with the pictures.
My favorite this week was the “hot pug-on-pug action” article. Man, that thing had me rolling for some reason.
I love the comments card suggestings various deaths.
The real news isn’t much less funny:
Your collective 15 minutes of fame are up-- gobble gobble!
I’m looking on the page you linked to, and I don’t see anything about them not wanting to work together again - just a piece about Ben being caught at a strip club. Did IMDb remove the piece?
Heh, the local paper had a piece on their new movie. Evidently, it’s horrible! The original ending had Jo Lo being a lesbian. They reshot the ending, and the reactions at the “unveiling” evidently had the producer and the director in a fistfight!
Damn straight-I ended up screen capping it!
Rotten Tomatoes has them 0/41 for good reviews so far. That’s about the worst I’ve ever seen. Swept Away got 4 of 68 good reviews. From Justin to Kelly got 5/53.
That’s freakin’ ugly.
dantheman – link must be to current day’s column, my OP was Wednesday.
Yeah, I didn’t bother to read the article the day of either…what’s their reasoning behind not wanting to work together again? Is this going to kill the Kevin Smith movie (not like I’m complaining much).
Ye gads! With comments like
Battlefield Earth, you may have met your match.
Am I the only one who now wants to see this movie to experience the horror? That whole “gobble, gobble” line fascinates me for some reason.
I may have to wait for this to come out on DVD to add it to the Bad Movie Drinking Game list. I don’t know if I can wait the whole month, though.
You really think that it’ll take that long for this to hit video? I’m thinking two weeks, tops.
They don’t ordinarily go that quickly to video if they’ve been in the theater at all. My guess is that they’ll wait till the movie’s almost completely dead (tomorrow? today?) and then start pumping up the ol’ publicity machine, i.e., how they were besieged by the media, making it tough to film it, how they Wuv Each Other so much, and so forth. After the studio has built up the offscreen story, thereby distracting people from the onscreen story’s crappitude, they’ll shoot for a fall video release. And I bet they’d put “outtakes” on the DVD, too.
I swear to god that I didn’t halucinate an ad I saw for last year’s turkey “Master of Disguise”: “See the movie all the critics are talking about!”
I am afraid of what the outtakes would look like…
Its Turkey Time!
CLUCK CLUCK
WHAT???
