Hilarious! Ok, I’d buy that.
This is the one I came to mention. What an obnoxious, annoying, stupid ad!! Who thought it was a good idea? idiots…
What bothers me about that is, shouldn’t they be squealing teenage girls, not forty-something MILFS?
The latest series of ads with Rob Lowe hawking Direct TV. On the one hand, we have movie star Rob Lowe who has Direct TV. On the other hand, we have alternate universe Rob Lowes with cable. All the alternate universe Rob Lowes are creepy and weird. They’re also not movie stars.
Apparently you have to be a movie star to afford Direct TV, but even creepy guys with CRT TVs can afford cable.
I’m sorry, but “Painfully Awkward Rob Lowe” reminds me of Stephen King. I hope Mr. King would not be offended by that, because I think the world of him, but…yeah.
You’re both nuts. The Rob Lowe DirecTV commercials are genius.
Click the link if you dare:
This is an ad for Title Max where you can trade in your car title for a quick loan. Not only is the accompanying song terrible but it’s annoyingly obvious that the girl lip syncing in it is not really the singer.
MILFs? Hardly.
Hey! Don’t you be knockin’ Judy Greer.
Can someone explain the Infiniti commercial where the guy picks up a streetcorner Santa, takes him upstairs, then Santa gives him a car? And what kind of house does the guy come out of in the end, a fucking mansion?
If that’s what he got just for patching Santa’s suit, imagine what he would have got if he gave Santa a handie.
It would be okay if your dog recognized you, you could shoot the bow, and you killed all the suitors.
I think that would work better with the Honda Odyssey.
I like those commercials (particularly the one Dung Beetle mentioned). But if most viewers are drawing the conclusion you suggest (here in red), then I suspect the series will be ending soon.
Also: hurrah for Homeric references!
Yup, I watch The Simpsons every week.
D’oh! What a gamut of references have been evoked by this one Camry commercial: we began with The Graduate, segued into *Captain Phillips *(with that Somali pirates conjecture), slid into the return to Ithaca, and finally lurched into the works of Matt Groening.
I, for one, am exhausted!
…but I’ll never buy a Camry due to my loathing of their other ad campaign: the 'are we getting a Camry or a Camry?’ idiocy.
I hate the Amy Poeler Old Navy ads. All of them.
That marshmallow song has gotten on my last nerve, and it isn’t even Christmas yet!
I think they’re pretty funny.
“My cable’s out so I’m down at the rec center watching folks swim.”
Exactly. Judy Greer makes those commercials worth watching.
No she doesn’t. Which isn’t knocking Judy Greer. They’re just that atrocious.
