I have a friend who for some reason is trying to find the latin word for green. I don’t have the slightest clue as to why he wants it, nor can I find it on the net. Could any of you scholars help me out?

Astounding beyond astounding, Arjuna34. I was sitting on a computer in the public library so I headed to the stacks.
Found dictionaries for Japanese, Norwegian, and every “Romance Language”–all rooted in Latin–but NO Latin/English dictionary.
I’m not sure what this says beyond "printed books are *&#*% expensive.
Truly sad, Sea Sorburst, since Cassell’s Concise Latin-English, English-Latin Dictionary is less than $5.
