Laundromat in south Loop?

I’m going to be in Chicago for an extended stay at the Congress Plaza - 520 S Michigan / Congress. Google Maps isn’t showing me any laundromats near there. The Congress has cleaning service, but I don’t want to pay $2.99 per t-shirt. The nearby Travelodge and Hi Chicago Hostel both appear that they may have on-site laundry - anyone know if I’d be able to walk in and wash my stuff if I’m not a paying guest of those places?

I don’t want anything fancy…just something nicer than sloshing my clothes around in the bathtub and waiting for them to drip-dry on the shower curtain rod.

I seem to recall that the Congress has laundry rooms. You should call the front desk.

Just confirmed with the front desk at the Congress that they do not have any guest-accessible laundry services. Even the cleaning service is done off-site.

I don’t think you can just walk in to the hostel to do laundry. They have a desk to check that you’re a guest.

I live a block south of the Congress, and we have no laundromats because every highrise has its own laundry room. If you PM me, I’ll let you in to use the one in my building, and we can sit next to the swimming pool with a beer. Otherwise, the neighborhood is thick with dry cleaners that will handle “bachelor laundry” for so much a pound.
