I was never a regular reader of that strip, just every so often, a few times a year.

Anyway I ran across this picture of Lawrence

Now my question is, “is he black?” If so I didn’t know that. I know he’s gay but if he is black, I totally missed that one for like 30 years.

I can’t find it, but a Google search turned up a discussion in which someone said that the official website lists his father as being from Brazil. I looked there first but couldn’t find a cast list for the non-Pattersons.
