navx2man, this is the Pit. It was originally set up to allow people who had gotten personally angry in other Fora to come here to vent their spleens. Since the board rules against “being a jerk” are somewhat relaxed, here, it has become a place where people come to hurl insults, generally.
Requesting an apology, here, is generally a waste of time.
Insisting on an apology, here, is an invitation to be excoriated.
If you are going to be offended by material on this Forum, I suggest that you not visit the Pit. Most of the material, here, is offensive–and deliberately so.

Tom I am offended only due to the fact that people actually talk like this. I know it happens, and that is sad. Maybe I am going to dig myself a little grave with what I say, but this Pit is pretty immoral. Aren’t we all instructed to live in peace? I’m not just talking about my “religion.” Every religion in the world “preaches” peace and harmony with others. Can this not be done? Is it that difficult to apologize and forgive and forget? What happens when the quarrels in the world are forgotten? A great thing. People start becoming people, and not self-indulgent animals craving for things they cannot have, and having things they do not crave.

Yes, this is the pit and such ugly comments are allowed. But that doesn’t mean they are all deserved. Victoria-Rose isn’t my cup of tea, but she hasn’t been hateful.
dlv’s remark was viciousness for the sake of viciousness – much like me pointing out that dlv sounds like a frustrated virgin whose only sexual experiences involve household pets. That wouldn’t be nice, would it?

By designating this section as a war zone is how. This is a good place to vent, so that the heat generated in a debate has someplace non-destructive to go. Afterward, we can discuss things intelligently, without affecting the other posters who don’t care to watch a lot of fighting.

Certainly if she is a hottie she can have her peck of…I mean pick of saved souls to choose from. Hey, if religious leaders like David Koresh or Brigham young can have the cream of the crop in their church, certainly Vicci can be choosy.
navx2man, you are certainly welcome to be offended. (I’m certainly offended by the hatred and ugliness spewed by “Mbagnall” and “Carma Lardent” on LBMB.) But you do understand that if you walked into a biker bar and loudly demanded to know whose sissy Harley was outside, you might have a bit of trouble having a quiet beer.
Whatever your opinions of this place, what you have seen is the reality of this place. I generally drop in simply to see if anyone has been witty lateley (it happens), but I generally don’t come into the “rude room” and announce to everyone that they are being rude.
Feel free to follow whatever course you wish, but understand ahead of time what reactions you are going to provoke. If you find this too ugly, you might want to stay in Great Debates. The heat and anger over there is generally focused on the issues without the ranting for ranting’s sake that we have here.

It’s okay to disagree with someone or something – it’s even okay to dislike someone or what they stand for. But this kind of unwarranted abuse and ugliness is NOT acceptable behavior anywhere, not even in the Pit.
