I personally find the Straight Dope Message Board very REFRESHING! Satan that was some confession you made, but honestly that was not my reason for coming over here and exploring this site. I’ve seen them shut down boards constantly because of a Rabbi who was posting over there. Surprisingly
enough, he had quite a few listeners and once they realized they couldn’t convert him, they banned him. Yet there were people who were very much interested in learning his views from a Jewish Perspective.

Amen, Spiritus. I’m of mixed feelings regarding how to deal with him. He’s only 13, so it seems kind of unfair to stomp on him, but OTOH, his rants can get pretty vile. For the nonce, I’ve been just staying away from threads where he’s active.

Any word on the Bagnall death threats? Didn’t think so. He was playing for pity, IMO - his posts have shown a strong tendency in that direction. No big deal; time wounds all heels.

I’m thinking of posting ‘MBagnall’s greatest hits’, or some such, to show him we’ve got no hard feelings…

Durnovarianus…Yes I am pleased to see Rabbi over here. I do know that during the process of all the commotion at LBMB they quickly revised their Rules by stating that they were a Christian Message Board and you were to follow the rules within a Christian framework. But before that, they weren’t as specific. Rabbi first started a post about the Origins of Hell and it was on the whole received very well. There were those who wanted him to start other posts so they could learn more. But they also wanted to preach to him about Isaiah 53 and their manorism became quite hostile when they did not like his answers to whom the “suffering servant” was. They were trying to witness to him first, then he started to share the “Jewish perspective” to them and they couldn’t handle it. They started to post New Testament scripture constantly and would close out every thread he tried to start.

Now I felt terrible to see this happen. But if I can get over it, everybody else can.
