I was on the other end of this type of situation. I was working at a mall shop one day and 2 guys came in to look at our stuff. They bought some stuff, then turned to leave. They had just started down the mall hallway when I noticed one guy left a bank envelope. I was in the middle of a conversation and took my time picking it up. When I looked inside, there was some money in it. I immediately went running after the guys who were very grateful for their money back. One guy pulls out a $10 and hands it to me as a reward, but I refuse. He said, “You don’t understand. There’s $2000 dollars in this envelope.”
My point is that there are those of us who are trustworthy and honorable. Not everybody you meet would stealn from you. It’s the theives that make us paranoid.
