LeBron doesn't get his way

I’m not a LeBron hater at all, agree with his politics, and applaud his off court good deeds.

But is anyone else relieved that the Lakers have been eliminated this early?

Since 2007, LeBron has been involved in the NBA finals 10 times, including 8 of the last 9 seasons. I have LeBron fatigue, and now that LeBron has already sealed his legacy, I’m looking forward to new stars and teams to emerge.

I know, I know he could make one more run and win one more title, and that will be a great story. But for this year, enough is enough.

This. He should just step down and let some new kids make their mark.

I’m no fan of Lebron James and this goes way back when I lived in Ohio. That was when he was already a celebrity and driving the Hummer as a high schooler.

An amazing basketball talent, definitely one of the greatest of all time.

I still want him to lose.

I’m not sick of LeBron, but I’ve always been sick of the Lakers.

The way for new stars to emerge is to outperform the old stars, not for the old stars to step down because people are upset they’re too good.

We should remember that Lebron is older than Jordan was during his last championship season. And he didn’t get a 2-year break in the middle. He has literally been the best player in the league for 15 years. He went deep into the playoffs almost all of those years.

But Father Time is undefeated.

I endorse this.

However I still think he went too far trying to trademark Taco Tuesday. The nerve!!!

As a Suns fan, any day the Lakers lose is a GOOD DAY!

Aside from that, I dislike LeBron and Kobe and wish TV would stop worshipping them.

The Suns were better than the Lakers all year, but I was afraid the NBA would not let the lakers lose. Much more exciting storyline that 7th seed Lakers win another championship than the Suns, who command no market presence or fanbase.

Still that Suns vs Bulls final will always be etched into my mind as one of the greatest.

It was!

Should have been even better!

Yeah, I’ve always hated the Lakers even though I respect what the franchise has done.

Look for plenty of stories and commentary about how the playoffs/finals are diminished without LeBron playing, and utter panic if the Nets are eliminated.

Yeah, the way it works is that the old stars keep on playing for as long as they can. If they still have pro-level ability, then they keep playing in the pros. When their ability eventually diminishes below that level, they stop.

Maybe James isn’t the best in the league any more. But I highly doubt that he’s the worst in the league. If other guys worse than him are still playing, why shouldn’t he?

Like others, I love Lebron, but have no interest at all in watching the Lakers win again.

It’s been interesting to see the Clippers, who people were writing off, roar back to beat Dallas.

Of the four remaining West teams, NONE - Utah, the Clippers, Denver, and Phoenix - have ever won the title before. These are four teams that have been around a long time.

In the East, all have won if you count the Nets winning the ABA twice, but it’s been a ery long time for all of them.

I like this. I like that it won’t be the Lakers or Celtics again.

He’s still All-Star calibre.

In fact, the Hawks haven’t won the title since they were the St. Louis Hawks, I think. And the NBA doesn’t include the ABA in any of its records.
