Led Zep are getting back together for a once only tribute concert ,now if I can just win the lottery I might have a very slim chance of getting a ticket.
I’d tap dance nude in the fast lane of the M1 at rush hour while singing the Horst Wessel song if I could get one ,still theres always the DVD.
It’s take a while to pre-register (the site being prone to relentless crashes) but I also don’t fancy my chances.
not to rain on your parade, I caught Zep quite a few years ago (I wanna say 7 or so) and it was a snooze fest. Plants voice is not even close to what it once was and the rest of the band was kinda lifeless.
it may have just been the show I was at but I was not impressed.
now if they got Ann Wilson to take over Plants vocals the show would rock. she can sing anything they ever did better than he can these days.
If my number comes up I’ll go as a kind of tribute rather than in expectation of '70s quality performances, especially from Plant.
He played the Cornbury Festival (known locally as ‘Poshstock’) last year. I didn’t go but the review is interesting. Personally I’m having a problem imagining a ‘de-metallicised’ folk oriented version of Black Dog.
Actually that makes me feel better knowing that I havent got a cat in hells chance of being there .
I’ve had two disappointments watching big name bands at the height of their fame ,Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
