Saw it last night at my local arts theatre with my 13 yr old. It was father daughter fun of the best kind.
Really enjoyed it… about 20 songs… mostly Zepp 1, 2 ,4 Physical Graffiti. … Jason Bonham was excellent… I think it’s remarkable how much better Jimmy Page looks at this age than he did at Live Aid… (Wow off of drugs is amazing eh?) Page did the bow… his playing was inspired… Plant couldn’t hit the high notes but he was really clear…
John Paul Jones looks the best… and that’s a point for clean living lol… At one point he played a double string bass… shifted between keys and bass… Just an all around really good show…
THe audience was… lol old… What is funny is guess since the theatre serves alcohol and theirs a bar next door… people were gettin into the swing of things… only point though… can’t carry it in the bladder like you did when you were 22… So their was a lot of bathroom trips…
Highlight of the show… 1) Kashmir… they really really went in on it… Proving they’ve always loved it more than Stairway (Plant said that) 2) Jason ended the show on a drum solo… and Plant and Page give him a smile… that was magnificent…
