Being a kid of the 70s I was never really into them and I still don’t have any of their stuff but I can recognize a plethora of their hits since they are a staple of classic rock stations around the US.
And as far as their hits it is really original, really good stuff. All so varied and different too. Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Black Dog, Rock N Roll, etc. etc.
They really seemed to be the masters of ‘the hook’ and built songs around some great ones.
Their lesser known stuff just doesn’t do anything for me though and I’ll leave that for the fans.
Led Zeppelin is overrated.
Pink Floyd is overrated, except for the Syd Barrett stuff, which is underrated.
The Who and the Beatles are not overrated.
Yes is rated just about right.

Perhaps we can all agree that everything that is rated is overrated. And most of the stuff that is not rated! The world is full of phonys.
