I’ve never looked up if any sex offenders live near me. I Googled and found the official PA site. The first page had this

Then why do you want to mail flyers to people about his presence?

What DO you want? To make his life miserable? To get some sort of revenge for… what? Mooching money? Holy crap, I’d have to sue almost every homeless person I’ve ever encountered and half my friends and family if I took that approach! Mixing his clothes with yours in a washer? A bit icky, sure, but not even as bad as, say, keying your car or talking in the theater. He kept a security deposit? If he did so illegally you can go to the courts for a legal recourse for that.

I just don’t get it - other than just being plain mean WTF is going on here?

They have something called “protective custody” in prison where vulnerable prisoners are given extra protection from the general population. If he was given probation in lieu of actual time behind bars it wasn’t because he was gay.

Seems to me you’re pissed at this guy for… reasons… and you’re looking for an excuse to hurt him. That makes you pretty crappy from the viewpoint of a lot of people.

I feel like people don’t live in the modern world. Everything is googleable, and people today google everything.

Besides, all of you are thinking “Smart people wouldn’t put down that they were mad and that it was a vendetta, so how in hell would they know it was harassment”. I assure you, lots of people are not smart and would do exactly that. Their only minor saving grace would be maybe to write the letter anonymously.

I have received a few anonymous letters in my time (even a death threat!) and I can tell you, there is no wisdom or often, coherency in these letters.

Really, the guy seems like a jerk as a landlord, he’s on the sex offender registry, but BV45 isn’t going to gain anything by “reminding” those who might give a crap about this. I don’t know any details of his case, so, yes I’d consider him untrustworthy, but I wouldn’t put myself in the line of legal fire just to piss him off.
