Lego Star Wars

Has anyone played this yet?
My boyfriend bought it today and once we started playing it, we couldn’t stop. It is really playable and great fun. We spent alot of time hacking Jar Jar up, and each other. We hacked Amidala up, just for fun obviously.
Anyone?

Not yet, but I’m downloading the demo now from

I was a tester on this game, and it’s far and away the most fun I’ve ever had at my job. At least, the most fun that can legitimatly be considered part of the job, anyway. Check it out, it’s pretty neat. They managed to nail the flavor of both Star Wars and Legos, and it turns out they go together like chocolate and peanut butter.

All I have to say is, Im not that much of a SW fan, but when I saw the commercial, the Lego fan in me screamed out “MUST BUY”.

Didnt know there was demo out.

Well, I tried it, and it appears to be more a puzzle game, which I’m not a big fan of. I agree that Star Wars + Legos works very well, and if you like puzzle games this looks like very good one.

I just got my review copy fedexed from editorial yesterday. The four-year-old and I have a date to play it tomorrow.

Here’s hoping.

Spent an hour playing it last night. Big fun and my little girl had a blast watching and ‘helping’.

Note: I was Qui-Gon Jinn with Obi-Wan as my extra. I left them in Dexter’s Diner while I went to do something. When I came back Obi-Wan was coming out of the men’s room.

Heh, heh.

Playing Lego Star Wars makes one well read

(I think that is the wrong link Clothahump)

Brian

Are you sure that’s the right link?

(Or did we both just get whoooshed ?)

I believe he meant to link to this: http://legostargalactica.keenspace.com/

Apart from a few issues with the rotating camera angles, I enjoyed the game. It’s a bit more fun after you finish a level and can go at it again in “free play” mode, employing the character which best serves the given situation.

On the subject of computer-generated legos, check out the short film Batman: New Times. It’s not much on story, but the effect is pretty cool.
