First time I saw him it amused me how someone could be so flat out ignorant of even basic scientific ideas. Then his constant hijacking of every thread that even slightly brushed spirituality quickly became annoying.
I wished the mods would have made a rule for him not to post on NDE’s anywhere on the boards like Handy was forbidden to post on medical topics.
Anyone want to start a pool on when he’ll leave his self imposed exile and start merrily hijacking away again?

lekatt’s posts were often filled with one-sentence paragraphs.
I found this very annoying.
Paragraphs are good.
Not using paragraphs makes your writing look like a Republican fundraising letter.

So… am I to gather that lekatt’s little microdrama is because Czarcasm participated in the thread and gave lekatt a hard time about his complete lack of facts?
So lekatt assumed that since Czar is a moderator, therefore everything he says is withe the moderator hat on. So lekatt had a fit?
Did anyone ever get to the bottom of his “navy story”?
Kind of. SimonX can probably give you the full story, but basically the records of the USS Willette, which lekatt claims to have served aboard, doesn’t mention his name, Leroy Kattein. They do mention a Kenneth Kattein, who was on board the Willette for two weeks during a different time period than when lekatt claimed to be there. Also, his story fails on several technical points, and he tells of a hurricane that no-one else noticed and snow in New Orleans that no-one else noticed.
And Squink: we didn’t bait him. For the love of God, we didn’t bait him. We responded to him when he spewed his garbage. It was that or let him stand unchallenged.

Whoops. Just do a “search for all posts by.” Lekatt’s been in quite a few non-NDE threrads.
I actually did a search on “thier” last week, after a particularly egregious posting. Luci only accounted for 25%. There was no obvious #2 offender. Maybe it just seems like more because you read his posts more often.
Fucking rejoice. Dance on his metaphorical grave. And mace him if he ever comes back.

Yes. Psychic threads, religion threads… virtually anywhere with even the most tenuous connection to the supernatural, where he could regurgitate his strange notions and claim they were supported by scientific testing. Which he doesn’t care about. But still wants others to use to back up their claims.
A couple days ago I was watching Penn & Teller’s Bullshit! episode about Near Death Experiences. It gave me severe flashbacks about the original Lekatt great debate train wreck thread. I don’t wanna wade through that shit-filled diaper again, but didn’t Lekatt make the similar promises of leaving this board in that thread a couple times over? (Or, am I thinking of a thread in a former life?).
I’ll just say, ignorance will be easier to fight when it quits posting here. Bye, Lekatt!
