Yes. Many of them are way out there, despite nominally being derived at least slightly from the bible. He also cites direct revelation and chatting with spirit guides, and is our resident near-death-experience addict (though with the aid of years of forceful modding, he no longer hijacks every thread with them).
He comes to this message board to witness, peddling his personal not-a-religion of Love and Compassion. He manages to be extremely spiteful and mean in doing so, too; I personally find him quite repugnant.
Why do you say that? I’m not disagreeing with you. I just can’t stand to read his posts, so about the only thing I remember is “God is love”, which on the face of it doesn’t seem especially narcissistic or disgusting.
Well, he’s not the only one. Kanicbird’s also around. I think that one of the low points of this board’s existence was that it played host to the two of them arguing over exactly how Ouija Boards work. I suppose it would be bad to censor their idiotic ideas, but reading two lunatics babbling about their pet theories of the spirit world does less than nothing in the way of fighting ignorance.
Here’s a typical quote from him in the other thread:
So, first we have the flinging of nasty accusations and lies. And in every thread I have seen him participate in, I have witnessed him spread lies and deception in the most cavalier manner possible. That is why I find him disgusting. He has no issue with spreading lies. He doesn’t seem to care one bit.
This quote also highlights his narcissism in two ways. The first is that he admits he doesn’t know exactly what happened, but boy, oh, boy, is he going to tell us anyway what should have been done.
Now, whenever there’s a dispute over facts, the way we try to resolve that is to bring all the evidence together and run it through the court system, so we can try and figure out what the facts are. And this particular case was run up and down the court system a few times.
But in Lekatt’s narcissistic world, none of the rest of us can make a decision about doing anything unless he personally has intimate knowledge of the facts. It’s not as if all the court transcripts and testimony are hidden in a vault somewhere. He just can’t be bothered to wade through all of it. Yet, somehow his judgment, without any explanation or reason, is superior to the people (as in the judges) who did sit down and wade through all of it. If we were all tomorrow to indulge Lekatt’s narcissistic viewpoint, none of the rest of us would ever be able to get anything done.
He has no curiosity about medicine, or science, or the law. He revels in his own ignorance. But then he has the audacity to come and lecture the rest of us because we choose not to live in his bubble of ignorance. It is people like him who sow discord and strife in the world.
Many of us try to help people get through their problems. Or at worst, we are so preoccupied with our own problems, that others problems unfortunately, but understandably, bypass us entirely. Lekatt, however, has adopted a world view which allows him to try and make people’s problems worse. It really is sickening.
Fortunately, for the rest of us, he and his ilk don’t have that much power in the world, so I usually ignore him. I probably should have ignored this thread, but the behavior of the people who attacked Michael Schiavo really disgusts me.
What does a doctor possibly have to lose by fudging a minor detail like whether a woman who is absolutely certain to have an autopsy has a functioning brain or not? Doctors declare people brain dead all the time so their husbands can remarry. Worst that can happen after the person is allowed to die and then is found to have had a perfectly functioning brain in the autopsy is what-- a $10 fine and “don’t do that again”?
Yeah, if you want to believe the doctors her brain was liquid. But the doctors didn’t cut open her head until after she was dead and it’s possible her brain was perfectly fine until they did the autopsy and THEN it turned to liquid out of fear. Or that it wasn’t her brain at all but somebody else’s the ACLU had put in there to cover their own ass, which they do all the time.
Wait, so you’re proposing that the reason Lekatt is so offended by the Schiavo case is that he’s also Brainus Absentus? That certainly brings new light to issue. Do we have MRI scans to prove it? Does Lekatt’s presence automagically turn any current thread into a zombie, or maybe a mummy? Inquiring minds want to know!
No you have this wrong. It’s not a question of things not being true unless he personally has intimate knowledge of the facts. For Lekatt, things are simply true if he wishes them to be so. Heck, he goes on and on about his NDE, yet even his own webpage says he didn’t have one. This has been brought to his attention over and over. It makes no difference. He just ducks the point and then carries on regardless. I know lots of people do this to some degree but Lekatt takes it to a level that causes me to consider that he just isn’t sane. I don’t say this as an insult, I quite seriously think he is mentally ill.
I see you have clearly plumbed the depths of The True Medicine. And now you must die! There is no witness protection program strong enough to shield you from… The Illumanti!
Whether Terri Schiavo had a functioning brain (or ANY brain) or not is irrelevant, since lekatt’s worldview sees the body functioning as a result of the soul rather than the brain, anyway. Plus, he doesn’t read the Pit, so it’s pretty much a moot pitting. Not that I disagree with muffin’s sentiment…
