Very little, only what I was told. They are the basic unit of all things. They are self-conscious and very curious. The forces that work on them are thoughts, intent, and love holds them together. If you ask the spirit world questions, they must answer in physical concepts, ideas, and language. Many times there are no equivalents in the physical for the answers. So they construct the closest concept to explain. In the spirit world there are colors not seen in the physical and no way to describe them. These things are not high priority. They don’t help us with coping in the physical, nor make our lives better which are high priority.
How do you know that CUs are both self-conscious and curious?
What is love as defined by CUs?
I read the material and didn’t find anything resembling evidence. Can you please be specific as to what constitutes evidence “that consciousness operates independently of the brain and body.”
You posed the question. Now, show the evidence.
If you read all of that link and couldn’t find the research showing consciousness continues to live after the death of the brain and body, I can’t help you.

If you can’t help me, then what are you doing here? You make claims, you are asked for evidence, the logical thing to do is provide evidence to back up your claims if you expect anyone to take you seriously. Isn’t that what we’re here for? This is Great Debates. What you are doing is not debating in good faith; you are expecting that we will simply believe as you do. I’ve read plenty of anecdotes about NDEs. I have books sitting on my bookshelf. I have never seen irrefutable evidence that human consciousness does not stem from and isn’t inextricably linked to brain activity. You have provided nothing here other than your beliefs and superstitions as related to the beliefs and superstitions of others. There is no evidence. There is only supposition and assumption. From the video you linked to in post #47 via your blog:
Tell me, where’s the science in this assumption? Why isn’t it any more valid to assume that you are wrong in the absence of incontrovertible evidence?

No one has approached lekatt with anything resembling a serious attempt to understand what he is talking about and he is playing his usual games.
If the best you can do is try to taunt him (or set him up for future taunting) and the best he can do is make vague claims about his superior understanding, then there is no genuine discussion.
I am not looking to close this thread, immediately, but I do suggest that the current silliness will not survive another day.

What snarky? You finally admitted that you don’t know what you’re talking about on a particular case yet you accused and continue to accuse an innocent man of the worst of crimes. You admitted that you had no idea what you were talking about and that you don’t care about the facts yet you continue to direct people to your blog. As has been mentioned to you more than a few times, your blog is not a credible source.
Debate credibly or get called on it. It’s really a simple choice, isn’t it? Look, tomndebb, I didn’t post the following for the purpose of talking past lekatt or to be hostile to lekatt. It’s time for you to recognize that he really does believe what he believes, regardless of how irrational it appears to you and me, and that I really do want to know what it is he believes, no matter how offensive to me his beliefs are (e.g. keeping a brainless body percolating).
It is quite telling that you consider those posts to be either talking past lekatt or to be hostile to lekatt. Bear in mind that it is one thing to moderate a thread to keep discourse civil and on-point, but it is quite another to derail a thread through that same moderation. Should we continue this in ATMB?
If you are going to insist that your posts on "CU"s is anything more than baiting, then I am not even going to bother with the rest of your nonsense. Every post of yours that you have quoted stands out as a snide attempt to make fun of lekatt, depending on what answer he gives. I have engaged lekatt on numerous occasions when I had not yet figured out the degree to which his own reality failed to intersect the real world and I can tell that you have no idea where he is coming from. Go read his old threads and discover his basic beliefs, then come back and address those.
Beyond that, you are simply hijacking this thread to make whiny comments about me rather than actually attempting to engage lekatt. If you want this thread to continue, stop biting my ankles and actually read what lekatt has posted and address him in a serious fashion. That would be sufficient to cause me to leave this thread open. Your attacks on me will not change my opinion except that more posts ignoring lekatt give me more reason to kill this thread, since the purpose of the thread is being ignored.
