Leonard Nimoy has died.

That’s the trouble with Tevyes.

Well, not really. He’s the local dairyman, and as he says to the visiting student Perchik, “We don’t eat like kings, but we don’t starve either”.

Sure, Tevye always complains about being poor, and he is poor, but not really food-insecure poor. A plump Tevye isn’t actually incongruous with the setting of the story.

I had to hold back tears when I heard the news too.

His passing leaves a gap in the world.

He sacrificed a prosperous thespian career to make Star Trek movies. He did not feel this sacrifice in vain, or an empty one; and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings.

Leonard;

I have been, and always shall be, your friend.

Kirk would say, “Kirk to Enterprise.”

The answer was often, “Spock here, Captain.”

And now he isn’t anymore. :frowning:

“I have been, and always shall be, your friend.”

Wow I never knew this

Oh wow.

This is how fanfeuds begin . . .

Edward James Olmos could not be reached for comment.

And Lorne Greene already made his way to that Undiscovered Country.
