Leonard Nimoy has died.

Aside - I never got why people never thought that was a blatant insult to Spock. Spock always was Vulcan first. And then Kirk goes and insults him at his own funeral!
Because we never got NBC in the 60s, Nimoy was always IMF agent Paris to me. Spock came later.

As a kid I loved In Search Of.

Sad.

Well, I guess that pretty much means that he won’t be appearing in any more Star Trek films, unless J.J. Abrams (or somebody else) comes up with a “Star Trek: Zombies!” series.

He was my favorite, too – although I was a Trek fan while the original series was still in its first run. So now he’s joining Scotty and Bones. Very sad.

Damn. He will be missed. Such a great actor and presence. He helped change pop culture.

R.I.P.

Shatner will have to do that funeral scene all over again. Except this time for real.

He lived long and prospered. He had, without a doubt, an iconic career.

Or if Sheldon manages to clone him from that napkin…

I liked him in In Search Of too, when I was a kid. To this day, the spouse and I sometimes talk about hunting for something “with Leonard Nimoy and a team of highly skilled technicians.”

The man was more than just Spock (as he went to great lengths at one point to remind us all).

Let us not forget his musical career, for one

Hey…it makes ***me ***smile!

RIP, Mr. Nimoy.

Quick! put him in a torpedo and shoot it at Genesis!.

There’s still time… :’(

Me too. I can’t stand that kind of show now, but I loved it as a kid.

I’ve always thought Star Trek III: The Search For Spock should have been called Star Trek III: In Search Of Spock.

A silence with you
Is not
a silence

But a moment rich
with peace

-Leonard Nimoy

His last tweet:

“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP”

Will be binge watching Trek this weekend :frowning:

“He’s dead, Jim!”
I grieve not so much for Mr. Nimoy, but for my lost youth…It is hard to see the icons go.

He lived long and prospered.

Spock was dead. Kirk had no reason to think part of him was lurking in McCoy’s skull. He was speaking to comfort McCoy, Scott, Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov. Who else was there to care about?

:frowning: RIP Mr Nimoy. A multi talented man & a enormous loss to all geeks everywhere.

I like his version ofthis
Also it did not escape my notice he found beauty in fat chicks.

Alev ha-sholem.

I grieve with thee.

Go Boldly, Mr. Spock.

I was never a Star Trek fan, but Spock is so iconic that I don’t think you have to be to feel this.

Mostly, I’ll remember him as Mr. Moundshroud from the vastly underrated The Halloween Tree.

RIP

I had an autographed picture of Mr. Spock on my bedroom wall in 1967, when I was 11 years old. I wrote fan letters to the show and asked for stuff like a phaser, a Tribble and one of those earpieces like Uhura and Spock wore. I got photos. I had one of Spock, one of Kirk and one of the the two of them together. I had a certificate naming me a Flight Deck Officer on the Star Ship Enterprise. I wish I still had that.

Mr. Spock is no more.

RIP Leonard Nimoy
