Oy! My first reading and I’m seeing cards I don’t like.
But there are cards I do like as well.
I use the celtic cross layout, here are your cards.
What is covering you (the general atmosphere of your question): Lovers Reversed - Quarrels, need to stabilize the emotions (infidelity?)
What is crossing you (the forces at work against you): 4 of wands - Rest after labor, peace, harmony, romance(?)
What is beneath you (the basis of the problem): 9 of cups - Material success, satisfaction, you will get your wish.
What is behind you: 5 of swords - Failure, unfairness, slander
What is above you (possible future): The world, reversed - Fear of change or travel; too great an attachment to ones place of residence or job.
What is ahead of you (probable future): Empress, reversed - inaction, frittering away of resources
What you fear: Hierophant reversed - unconventiality. Take care that you do not become superstitious!
(Note, I may have placed this card incorrectly, so the meaning could be importance of society’s approval)
The hopes and fears of those around you: Devil - Bondage to the material
Your hopes: Ace of pentacles - Beginning of wealth and material gain.
Final Outcome: Moon reversed - Imagination will be harnessed by practical considerations. Storms will be weathered.
My interpretation:
You are having problems with someone in your life that has made you realize that you need to make a fundamental change in your life. You are having a hard time actually making this change, because your life is comfortable(you like the material aspects of your lifestyle) and the person causing you problems has stopped for the time being. In your possible future, it says that your attachment to the material aspects of life are too great, and that you fear change; you need to work on this or you may through inaction lose what you want to keep. You hope that what you want to do will lead to greater wealth, but you are worried about the unconventiality of the lifestyle (maybe?) I recommend that you do what you know needs to be done, since the storms that you fear will be weathered, and you will get what you want out of it.
How did I do?
I am using “A complete guide to the Tarot” by Eden Gray. I really like it, but it is the only book I’ve ever read, so I don’t know how it compares to others. I do like the detailed analysis of each card.
