Let's blame the Spice Girls for everything!

NinjaChick, I will now tell you a story to make you feel better.

I recently went to my youngest BIL’s wedding, and for a while was sitting next to my husband’s aunt, who is now about 70. She told me it would make her very happy if I put my two daughters in martial arts classes, because she thinks they’re great and especially important for girls. I think I made her day when I told her that the oldest is in kung fu (the younger one is 4).

Chupa Chups! Oh man, I had them all! I loved the stickers, too. Although, my favorite was Ginger and it seemed that hers was always the hardest to find. :frowning:

No one noticed who wrote the article? Fay Weldon CBE

All I know is when I was stuck in many a hotel in some part of Europe in the late 1990’s with no English television or radio, they were about the only media I would consistently hear that was in English. Like a Spice Girls lifeline from London to rural Portugal. So some of their stupid jingly songs are still on my Zen because they bring back memories of other things.
