It was already on the list so you have another one.
Yep, noticed it myself, see my edit.
That video reminds me of a couple of parties I went to in college.
OK got your 3rd one on.
I see only one version and it is by Jesper Bjarnesen
Yeah, I just checked. Strange. Elvis’ version was pretty popular back in the day. I saw The Honeydrippers play it on SNL, but I guess they never recorded it.
I’ve got two more by Jonathan Coulton:
Podsafe Christmas Song
Christmas is Interesting
ETA: since we’re allowed three at a time I’ll nominate
Blue Xmas Miles Davis and Bob Dorough
Up to 5 hours now. We rock!
We do. I sent a link to a friend and she asked how Rio is a Christmas song. I had no answer for her, but if you do, I’d be grateful.
Payoff is at 2:20. Careful! A few NSFW words.
Okay, that makes perfect sense, now.
(Is that Robert Goulet on the piano?)
Charlotte Church - Mary’s Boy Child
Johnny Mathis - What Child is This?
Sammy Davis Jr. - Sweet Gingerbread Man
I actually have some Christmas music this year!
I have an orchestral version of “Carol of the Bells”, and “I Saw Three Ships” releasing on Nov 30th. And, a new version of “Auld Land Syne” (I rewrote some of the lyrics to emphasize friendship) on Dec 28th!
They will be under “Jason Bernard”.
Favorites from our home:
“Christmas is the Time to Say, ‘I Love You.’” - Billy Squier
“Merry Christmas Everyone” - Shakin’ Stevens
“We Need a Little Christmas” - Johnny Mathis
Honorable Mention:
“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings” - Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan. McLachlan’s voice when she sings, “Hallelujah, Hallelujah! Worship him, God most high!” makes me wish I believed.
There is a version with her and Jester Hairston. Is that it?
No carols. Sorry.
Awww.
Snow in particular or another one?
A couple more sure!
