Might as well go with my Honorable Mention list from last year:
For “Bethlehem Down” let’s go with the version by The Choir of Jesus College Cambridge.

Yes, that’s it.
That’s Christmas To Me - Pentatonix
Christmas In L.A. - The Bobs
The Night Before Christmas.- Carly Simon
The Angels Cried - Alan Jackson w/Alison Krauss
What a Glorious Night - Sidewalk Prophets
The Christmas Blues - Dean Martin
Lots of versions but I can’t find one from the Bobs
It’s on the album Too Many Santas. I will try to find the spotify link.
EDIT:
I couldn’t figure out how to link directly to the song but here’s the album link.
Got it. Except for waiting for chela to get back to me on their specific song I believe I am current.
103 songs; 5hr 54min.
I love this! Thanks to @Saint_Cad for doing this and to everyone for all the contributions.
Mary’s Boy Child - Jesse Hairston, Charlotte Church, Sian Edwards
Found out by accident it’s called Santa Claus is Back in Town. Added to the list
Added Snow
Done
Up to date and now over 6 hours of music.
I specifically added the Spotify skill to my Amazon Echo so that I could listen to this playlist on it, and the assistant reports that it can’t find it.
I checked and it is public
Fixed. I logged out of my daughter’s profile and into mine.
Merry Christmas!
Here are my picks for this year (all on Spotify):
Not eligible, because it’s a carol, but worth a listen if you like electro-synthpop:
Hey Santa Claus - The Moonglows (can also be heard in Christmas Vacation) and while we’re at it:
Christmas Vacation - Mavis Staples
Backdoor Santa - Clarence Carter
Fuck Christmas - Eric Idle
Christmas - Chuck Berry
My taste is so good i should get another go
Merry Christmas (I dont want to fight tonight) - The Ramones
Dont believe in Christmas - The Sonics
Xmas with Simon - The Fall
Save these for next year.
Two things: Question for all of you. Have you added ANY songs from this list to your personal one? I’ve added
Come Darkness, Come Light by Mary Chapin Carpenter
White Wine in the Sun by Tim Minchin
Merry Christmas From the Family by Robert Earl Keen
Mrs Cad added
Come Darkness, Come Light by Mary Chapin Carpenter
White Wine in the Sun by Tim Minchin
something about december by Christina Perri
Second for next year there will be one change to the rules. I said no traditional carols because I didn’t want the list to be 98% carols we hear all the time with 42 versions of Jingle Bells. We now have 112 songs so I think we can open it up a bit so for next year, everyone can include at most one traditional carol to their selections. Let’s tray a dry run and between now and Dec 24th, Dopers can put 1 and only one traditional carol on our list.
But still no Christmas Shoes.
