Let's construct an oldies playlist with songs that never show up on oldie stations

Ah. A fellow Renaissance fan. Let’s not omit “Ashes are Burning”, “Carpet of the Sun”, and “Ocean Gypsy”.

There should be a mandatory playing of “Live At Carnegie Hall” at least once a month on our oldies station. It being my conference period, I have “Day of the Dreamer” blaring on my stereo right now.

The restrictions placed by the OP mean we can’t suggest Zappa in wholesale lots, but “Valley Girl” needs to be on the list.

XM channels 6 & 7 are a terrific resource for those very seldom played oldies.

Some of my picks:

“Darling be Home Soon”–The Lovin’ Spoonful
“Dandelion”–The Rolling Stones
“You Know My Name”–The Beatles
“Hey Baby”–Ringo Starr
“Jennifer Juniper”–Donovan
“D.W. Washburn”–The Monkees
“Suavecito”–Malo
"Je T’aime (Moi Non Plus)–Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin
“Love Can Make You Happy”–Mercy
