He did so in one post, and he was rightly warned for it. I wouldn’t argue with that.
However, the post in question now is a subsequent one that contained similar content to what linked to earlier (but edited, apparently.) It had no links to anywhere except some of Liberal’s threads.
We have a baseline

But, it strikes me that if a poster is warned not to drag stuff from the snark sewers to the boards… and then that poster does just that and is warned again… and then does the same thing yet again but doesn’t add the link that time… well, to me that paints a pretty clear picture.

However, I was under the impression that the deleted post contained a link to his snark board. If it didn’t, then that makes the warning less clear. On the other hand, if he posted exactly that message once with the link to the board, and gets warned for stirring shit up, and then makes exactly the same posts sans link… that’s pretty borderline, right there. Sounds to me like he’s trying to do exactly the same shit he got warned about before, only this time in a moderately more underhanded fashion.
99.9% of the time, you’re going to be correct. However, intent matters. If you’re dumb enough to point us to your homepage where you describe your love of trolling and shit-stirring on the SDMB, then yeah, we may use a heavier hand with your posts than those of other posters.
We’re never going to have an air-tight criminal code here. Judgement calls have to be made, common sense has to be applied. If you act like a troll, make websites devoted to your love of trolling, and respond to warnings about your behavior with the exact same behavior, we’re going to boot you.

I for one am sick and tired of jerks like you who think you’re some sort of low-rent Woodward and Bernstein. It’s no fucking secret that you are trying to damage the board, and all the protestations that your heart is pure don’t make it so.

In my blackest heart of hearts I kinds believe that you’re not really interested in hearing opinions about what you’re doing, but rather want to get into another argument with he mods to prove your moral superiority. This is the part of my mind that I try to keep sublimated with drugs and loud rock and roll music. However, if you TRULY want to know why they have a stick up their collective asses about you, it’s because of appearances.
You give the appearance of someone who just wants to stir up shit. Now I know, once again in that part of my heart that doesn’t get out much that you have purely altruistic motives in doing what you do, but the appearance you give is someone who is dissatisfied with the job the mods are doing and is going to make sure that they toe the line to your expectations and beware your wrath if they don’t. That’s not what this board is all about. I suspect that your main motive is to do whatever you can to embarass them in any way possible. That’s the appearance that you give, and that is what they rightfully respond to.

So, knowing how much you love this message board, and knowing what truly selfless and inspiring hopes you have for it, might I suggest actually working with them? Don’t publicize your anger, but e-mail them privately, let them know your feelings. Open a dialogue. And if you don’t feel as if your needs are being met here, perhaps finding somewhere else where you can feel happy and fulfilled … the truly loving, caring and emotionally wonderul person that we all know you are.

As it is I misunderstood/misspoke. As I see it, ‘the post in question’ is both the first and the second one. That’s because the second post was pretty much the first post, with a link cut out. If you’re told not to stir up shit from the snark boards whether you link to it or not, and then you do so…
But yes, in the particulars I was wrong.
In general I don’t remember user names for most people. To my knowledge the only time he and I have interacted was a short while ago when he was stirring up shit/calling for the banning of a poster/junior-modding/what have you.
So in a sense, no, I don’t have any history or any axe to grind. But on the other hand, if a snarker comes here and attempts to stir up shit, I’m not going to be kindly disposed to their protestations of innocence. You can try to sell me the line about a hooker with a heart of gold, but…

Look at it this way … your website is seemingly dedicated to making sure that people neither forget nor forgive past errors, even those that they have just been accused of without any basis in fact. If you hold people to that kind of standard, you yourself are going to be held to that standard as well, if not higher.

You’re the one who posted the link over there (your “little bird”). If we read your posts there and as a result get the impression that you’re someone who enjoys causing trouble, tough shit. You’ve gotten no warnings based on off-board behavior, but don’t expect us to pretend not to know where you’re coming from when you frickin’ advertise it.

Surely if that is true (I haven’t seen the site so don’t know) these is itself reason for banning.
I remeber someone got banned for talking about hacking SDMB off site after she got very upset, and she was banned. I don’t know, but doubt her threat was realistic, but she was banned immediately. Surely claiming to be a troll and acting trollishly, even offsite, should be a banning offence.
Could you nail him for conspiracy to interfere with interstate commerce or some such? That’d be sweet! 
NO, no! What’s offboard should stay offboard. That is precisely the issue here. CarnalK has now thrice brought stuff onto the board from his little hatefest - stuff that if he had left it there (and very possibly if he had simply not attributed it) would not be causing him a problem here. He is glorying in the fact that he can use his offboard snarkorama to make trouble here. That is the problem, not that the snarkorama exists.
Sorry, I was being a bit rhetorical with my “If you do X, don’t be surprised if we do Y” statement. I don’t want to get into the specifics of the website CarnalK linked to, since we’re not willing to put up a link, but it painted CarnalK as someone who thrives on board conflict, thereby making us highly suspicious of his motives here, in light of his past behavior.
