I’m ready to go! Just need the file.
I believe for floodgates and roads and things that are currently being built you use “t” to select them. But I could be wrong. The only thing I know for certain is you can’t delete channels at all.

It was posted in the other thread, here.
Good luck, I hope your reign lasts longer than the previous ruler. You can decide if you want to just finish out his run, or continue into your own year. I don’t know how much time was left on his, but from the description in the other thread he might have only played a month or so. I haven’t looked at the save file yet.
Oh, and I have to say I am impressed with how fast people are taking their turns. I figured this would likely be drawn out so long that many people would have forgotten about it by the time their turn came up.
The three critical keys for selecting and modifying things are ‘k’, ‘t’, and ‘q’. ‘k’ is just for looking and sometimes for looking in items and getting descriptions, but not always (you need to use ‘v’ for creatures and their equipment). ‘t’ is usually for things that are in the process of being built, where you can suspend construction, unsuspend it, or remove it, but it also is what you need to look and see what is inside of a building (good for seeing what a fey dwarf has already collected). ‘q’ is usually for setting orders or changing properties on things.
The problem is that it is not always consistent. This is something that I hope they will fix in a later release as I currently have to experiment back and forth on which key to use in a given situation.
Oh, and you may wish to start your turn by purposely causing some cave-ins or the whole fort might get taken down by the demons.
Thanks for the consolations. I got through a few months; summer had just begun when the demons got all uppity. The good news is that I made the bridge over the magma extremely narrow, so the demons will be forced into a bottleneck if they try to advance. (Those demons are right barstards, but one of the reasons they were so effective is that when they came out, the only dwarves positioned anywhere near their territory were a couple of farmers and a miner. (The funny part is that I made Omi no Kami a farmer because I assumed it would be the safest role to occupy.
)
Hehe other than that The best option is to take one of the legendaries, make him a soldier, make sure he grabs a weapon, and set his baracks near the breach.
Well actually It is very inconsistent. The T is for constuction that will have no further ‘god’ interaction such as traps, roads, bridges, pillars and so on If the get suspended you have to go to the thing with ‘t’. Thw q is to interact with buildings that you will later have to interact with like workshops and forges, but you also have to do it during construction, like if they get suspended too.
.
Being as all of the demons are immune to fire and two of the three kinds can swim, I am not sure they even need to use the bridge.
From what I hear, if we sacrifice all of our legendaries in a solid strike with lots of weenie fodder to take some of the blows first, we may have a chance of there being a few survivors. Of course, maybe people are just overplaying how dangerous they are.
The file save has the world data, but not the save data for Treatykisses.
My mistake; the save file that I should’ve included in that zip file is here . ^^
OK, it looks like despite Revenant Threshold’s best attempts the fortress is in a bad way. We definitely can’t continue playing with the same rules on this game because as soon as someone starts, odds are that their dwarf will be dead in a minute, so if we do continue, whoever does it will have to pick their dwarf at the end from among the survivors.
Revenant Threshold, do you think there is any chance of survival? Are the demons still working their way through the fortress?
On reflection, my thought is this:
Post the save file so we can all see it.
Garius can take his turn and play until the last dwarf is killed. Name the last one after yourself. I would suggest that you start digging from scratch North of the current fortress. Unmake all the rooms and beds and once the dwarves are out, lock the front doors behind them. Perhaps the demons will not follow.
If we do lose it all and want to play another game it will start with Revenant Threshold, then to garius, and continue from there. We can either do a reclaim on this fortress or start from scratch. That will be up to Revenant Threshold, but either way we would use the save file from after this fortress is gone so it is in the same world.
Hey, sorry for the lateness of this, i’ve not been feeling too well. I’d also ask not to be in the next round if there is one for the same reason.
This should have both sets of data in.
Sorry to hear you are feeling bad. I have let garius know about the update.
playing it now.
Suffice to say that attempts to stop the demon attack are not going particularly well.
So how are things progressing?
sorry - been a bit caught up at work.
Sad to say that the Fortress has succumbed
I’m halfway through writing it up - planning on posting to the thread tomorrow.
I was curious how it was going?
I heard from him via email about a week and a half ago saying it was not going well and that he would write it up in a day or so. I guess he got distracted.
